We were treated to a double room bed, breakfast and 3 course dinner for two, at The Neptune Inn and Restaurant. Having arrived early, we followed good advice, from our host, by visiting nearby Ringstead (with its Hidden Treasures rooms in the General Store) and Burnham Market. Our room initially seemed fine. Prior to dinner, we had two bottles of... More

My husband and I wanted somewhere really good for a special anniversary meal, a Michelin star restaurant seemed to be the right place. The Neptune didn't disappoint. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was excellent. We both agreed the Dexter Beef was to die for, you could have cut it with a butter knife, All the... More

Set on the side of the road with limited parking. Very friendly welcome and nice to be able to chat with the chef. Very enjoyable Sunday lunch with good choice on the menu. Leisurely paced meal and even though the restaurant was full the small numbers of serving staff coped well.

We have been to many Michelin starred restaurants over the years, but sadly this was by far the worst. It's some way off the standard and in honesty we can't understand how it got that acollade. My wife had a fish and crab dish and neither tasted very fresh. I had aged dexter beef, which I'm afraid was a bit... More

I was given a generous voucher from my children to spend here after careful research on their part and with one of them being an ex chef he knows good . They know me well, and picked this as the place of choice to fulfil my liking for great food staying in nice places and Norfolk. I knew it was... More

Long been on the list of localish fine dining places to try and what a let down it was. The place is very small and cramped, no privacy at all with tables packed in a tiny room. This explains why its hard to get a booking here because it surely cant be due to the quality of the food. Parking... More

Great food and overnight stay at the Neptune, fantastic unpretentious service and friendly chef. Big smiles all round, they appear to enjoy welcoming people into what feels like their home. Highly recommended, will revisit 😀

This restaurant is by far the best I have been to in recent years. Everything from the service to the food was just as it should be. Family owned and run with small touches that make the whole experience such a treat. I would suggest you go if you if you can get a booking, you will not be disappointed... More

A small well appointed intimate restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our pre dinner drink and canapes in a comfortable bar area. The food was excellent as was the service. I can think of nothing negative to say and would suggest that it is one of the best restaurants in Norfolk, if not the best. This... More
