Always friendly and helpful to welcome my disabled mother and make wheelchair friendly. Food is excellent and the lunchtime 2 or 3 course deal cannot be beaten. This is one of the places that once you have visited will be a regular stop. Staff is very pleasant, Greene King beers good and chef creates great quality at budget price. Highest... More

While well known to me just had a smashing family meal at this delightful location. With a substantial Car Park this traditional village pub remains a classic. Either cosy log fires to warm the ambience or wonderful views in the balmy outside seating, it retains all that is truly British.

Having eaten here a few times I can say the food is superb. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the travellers lunch menu is top quality food at a great price. The back garden has a stunning view too! Lovely place

Wonderful country pub with a fascinating landlord who had a great many items of memorabilia about cricket and rugby. We had a long talk about both. The food, although simple was excellent and the staff friendly. Brilliant.

We visited here again as we liked the meal we had before when we were visiting our son who is at university here. This time we took our dog again and we accept that because we had our dog we had to sit in the bar area. This time we were sat right by the door which was draughty. No... More

Fantastic family party for a 90th birthday. We are regular visitors but this is the largest group we have brought here. Food suited our whole party from 22 to 90, vegetarian to carnivore. Kayla and Emma looked after us brilliantly and the wonderful owners went out of their way to sort a birthday cake for us. No pressure to leave... More

This was an excellent meal of fine quality and great value for money. I was with 25 other people who all enjoyed the great food and very friendly service. I would highly recommend this typical old English pub if you are in the area.

Lovely country pub with good parking & welcoming staff. Garden looked like it would be good on a summer's day. Menu is wide with specials on chalk board Portions are good size but not huge, could only manage 2 courses! Variety of wines & beers on offer. Children welcome. Well worth a visit,

I had booked a table for 3 on Friday afternoon for 1pm. Was advised they had some large parties booked, so could we come in at 12.45pm. Which we did. The service was very good and food was excellent. But it was a very cold day and the fire was going in the restaurant. But our table was by the... More

We were walking the North Downs Way on a rather cold and wet day and came across the Chapter Arms and thought we would try our luck for lunch. We were greeted very warmly and when we asked about food were told we had made it by 5 minutes - this was said very positively though, like they were pleased... More
