This place is not getting the attention it deserves. A previous reviewer mentions that they're table wasn't offered certain specials because they were American? That's just a really weird comment and completely untrue based on my experience. The staff was very hospitable and whatever is taking place in the kitchen should be copied by others because the food was outstanding.... More

Friendly restaurant but nothing too special. Had 2 apps, 2 mains, and 1 dessert for $90 (with a bottle of water). Given the price we've definitely had better food on the island. Ordered my tuna rare and it was overdone, but wasn't dried out. The sauces were quite nice. Sides were pretty boring. The duo of scallops and shrimp seemed... More

Le Taitu offers a nice variety of food in a special ambiance. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. We will certainly come back again. Also very suitable for lunch.

We just finished our 5th meal at Le Taitu on this visit. We had creamy garlic soup, chardonnay wine, grouper filet with mango butter sauce, coconut flan, cognac and espresso. Exquisite food, top notch, personal service. We have been eating here since 1998 and this is our favorite restaurant on the island. Jean excels in cooking the food and preparing... More

This restaurant serves food much better than you would expect from an out of the way location. It realy is a must, not only for the great food, but also to chat to the delightful owner. The food is as good as most of the restaurants in Grand Case, but without the parking and trafic problems.

Again we are back in St Martin (our 30th year) and each year the very first restaurant that we want to go to is Le Taitu. Entering in the door we feel like we have returned home, as Jean, the owner greets us. The food as always is delicious, appealing not only to the taste buds but the eyes as... More

We have been to this wonderfull resturant many, many times over the years. If anything it just keeps getting better. Under the leadership of its owner Jean, the food is always fresh, perfectly prepared and priced correctly. From the simple creole dishes to the over the top steaks with blue cheese sauce you will never be less than satisifed. This... More

Very good restaurant, excellent food, nice people, nice owner's story. Somehow hidden, but it is a treasure worth to be searched. It's like a piece of France cuisine in the Caribbean
