First off, the coffee here is great! I also had a fish filet casado here which was very tasty (although a bit oily) as well. The prices are good and the people who own it are nice!

This is a great little spot among the very few choices actually in Manzanillo. Mima's is close to the "supermarket" across from Maxi's and the owner chef is a very nice man who makes an excellent corn shelled empanada for only something like 800 colones! Excellent and for the price the best thing in town. There is often a little... More

Tranquilo the owner is an affable man from SAN JOSE who moved to Manzanillo to create a new life with MIMA. And that is what he did. We both look to the future of manzanillo and carry the past proudly. SODA MIMA is the best place to people watch in a tranquil setting. Food is priced fairly.

A real Caribbean authentic fusion culinary experience and great prices! The wait times can be a bit long, but it's worth it for the arroz con pollo and Caribbean chicken.

Ate at Soda Mima twice as we were so impressed the first time round. Stumbled across it by chance, choosing it because it was the busiest of the Soda's in the area and wanting to avoid the less authentic looking places. Gallo pinto and huevos for breakfast was spot on. Say yes to the hot sauce. Casado of fish for... More

This soda has everything going for it. Good food, fast friendly service, great prices and a great view of the village square and beach. My wife and I love it. This is our favorite soda in Manzanillo. We have had 2 breakfasts here. A ham and cheese omelet and a ham and cheese sandwich the first day, then pancakes and... More

This place has no frills but delivers great quality local food at a reasonable price. The Gallo Pinto was the best I've had in over 8-weeks in Central America. Thoroughly authentic Soda run by a charming local man. Back there tomorrow for more!

During our 10 day stay, it became a habit for us to walk to Soda Mima's for late breakfast. The menu is in Spanish, but is easy to figure out. Coffee or hot chocolate will start your day for about $2. My favorite was the ham and cheese omelet for $4, but it is all good. We had a hamburgesa... More

This soda is located a few meters from the beach in Manzanillo. Let me preface by saying that we walked in here dripping wet with seawater after snorkeling. The owner welcomed us and quickly served us ice cold beer and a bottle of water. They were out of a few things on the menu like fried chicken, but we enjoyed... More
