Food edible but not value for money. A long time waiting and the lamb was not pink as promised but overcooked and tough. Sorry guys but an honest review.

When we drove past the pub we noticed a sign stating that it smoked its own products. Thought I'm stopping on the way back. Well walked in and the place was empty however the lady behind the bar was more concerned with her phone so had to wait. Then noticed a chalk board with some nibbles advertised, we enquired and... When I arrived on the Monday evening the hotel told me that the restaurant was closed on Monday - they claimed that I had been advised of this in advance, but that was the first I had heard of it. It certainly didn't show up on the booking - ought they perhaps have mentioned it when they accepted the booking...?.... More
Just intended to stay the one night but the food was so good, we stayed for two! The accommodation is fine although some of the rooms are a wee bit small if you were staying for week. Dinner is only served up to 8:00 pm so make sure you are there in plenty of time, Great choice of dishes and... More

We stayed for one night on our way up to Scotland . The place was very quiet when we arrived but we were greeted by a very lovely lady who I think was the owner. She showed us to our room which was super modern , newly decorated and very clean. The bed was large and comfy. We ate in... More
I enjoyed my food and there was no faults with the staff or atmosphere. My only flaw was that it wasn't what you would call child friendly.
Dinner table booked for 7pm and our orders taken promptly and efficiently. Quiet evening with just 12 covers eating. Helpful friendly “girl of all trades” serving food and drinks. Our starters appeared at 7.40. We chose the smoked and cured meat platter (with pickled cucumber and parmesan). The Redwell Inn is very closely associated with and promotes the Lune Valley... More
Happened across the Redwell Inn when looking for some lunch and wasn't disappointed. I had steak and chips and it was all good. The steak was as ordered and tasted fantastic. The chips were brilliantly tasty and crispy - best I can remember. My daughters enjoyed their meals of lamb and chicken and my wife said that her salmon and... More
It is over twelve months since we visited this Restaurant and again we were not disappointed. Last time we visited we were there on a Saturday night and the Restaurant was packed, this time it was for Sunday lunch and surprisingly it was empty. Not quite sure why the locals do not value this Restaurant apart from the fact that... More
