Quiet pub with good choice of Food and ales. Friendly and great value. Child friendly. Worth a visit in this picturesque village. Super Chef, free wifi , enjoyed it immensely.
Friendly village pub with a "traditional" pub menu, no fancy expensive trimmngs. And the local produced ham was superb.
I agree with other reviewers re the Sunday roast. For us its the best roast for miles! Not for us carverys where the food dries out and is usually luke warm! A while back we went to a "pudding" night there. We had bacon and...More
We were in this lovely area of Kent with friends to visit Sissinghurst Castle and needed to find somewhere to eat for Sunday Lunch. We decided on the King William 1V and were pleased that we did. This traditional country pub is in the village...More
One is rather 'spoilt' nowadays with all these fancy pubs offering rather specialist drinks and overly fancy food. Here is a village pub which is actually a village pub. Great for a couple of drinks after a days work.
I took my wife on a road trip around Kent villages this Easter weekend and found a lovely Village called Benenden. The King William IV had a board up outside saying they were serving food so we thought we would go in and have lunch....More
Popped in whilst passing as it looked like a proper pub. Staff knew their bitters well and were friendly and helpful. Great pint of bitter. Restaurant looked superb; I'll be back. A really great traditional pub. Small, friendly and well worth a visit
Although we live nearby I'd given up on the William IV in recent months. It now has a new landlord - he's very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. A good reasonably priced Shepherd Neame wine list
