This is a lovely, typically English country pub, rather difficult to find these days in South England. We went on Sunday night for dinner with friends. The atmosphere was amazing, the food very good and the red wine, a Chilean Merlot, we chose very palatable, the price very reasonable. It is a very popular pub/restaurant and it is often very... We had an excellent Sunday roast dinner here yesterday with family and friends. Not the first time we have enjoyed the roast dinners here. Everything was cooked perfectly and there was plenty of it!! Service was excellent and the staff at the bar were polite, cheerful and hard working at a busy time. We arrived at 1pm and left at... More

We visited this pub for the first time this weekend on the recommendation of a family member and we were not disappointed. A traditional country pub with no frills but friendly staff and an excellent menu of traditional pub food. The pub was full but we had booked a table. There were plenty of staff to cope with the throng... More

Just moved into the area and thought we would try out the "local". Excellent food and beer. Staff were very helpful polite and friendly as were the locals. Loads of live music coming up in the next few weeks. Will definitely be going back there soon.

Had a meal here one weekday evening and it was disappointing. I had sausage and mash but it was all much too salty. Salty mash, salty sausages, salty gravy. I don't mind some salt to bring out the flavour but this was too much. I'll not be in a rush to return particularly as the place has very little ambience.

After work we headed to The Farmer Inn for a drink and an evening meal, my wife enjoyed steak and ale pie with a selection of vegetables while I had hunters chicken with chips, salad and coleslaw. Both meals were well presented and good size, the pie was freshly prepared with tender steak and the most delicious ale gravy while... More

Went here for the first time this evening after moving to the area a few months ago. My partner wasn't impressed by the front exterior when we had driven past the pub in the past, but once we decided to park up and go in, we were both blown away by how nice everyone was. The food is delicious, I... More

Stopped for some food, was so good! I had the chicken burger with brie - lovely! around £10 so about average really. you could tell it was proper home made food as well. There is little parking at the front but also a large car park at the back along with a lovely beer garden. There was music which was... More

I enjoyed my visit to the Farmer Inn and it outweighed expectation. First impressions were good of the outside, it was well kept and the car park is spacious. They are dog friendly so that is a plus also. When I got inside I thought that we weren't going to end up having a nice meal. It is a bit... More

Hi Nicky Thank you for your kind comments about how the staff treated you and the food that we presented. I will pass them on to the staff concerned, including your comment about the curry. Constructive criticism is also well received! For your information, the majority of our menu is cooked from scratch, to our own recipes, which we hope... More
