Benny's has a good variety of Belizian dishes. We enjoyed it so much we came back for a second meal. Some of the standouts were fry jacks, kind of like sopapillas; pibil, juicy roasted pork; soup. Staff were pleasant.

This place is so amazing. We had Empanadas, cow feet soup, shrimp fried rice, and pigbil. All so delicious! Highly recommended!

We went with our guide, Daren, after visiting the Mayan ruins. Very nice outdoor, friendly seating. Agree with everyone about the pibil - best pork I've ever had, cooked underground overnight, melts in your mouth. My husband got excellent red beans and rice with chicken. Fresh watermelon and pineapple juices the perfect accompaniment. Outstanding food at very reasonable prices!

We stopped here for lunch after the Mayan Ruins. Everyone said to get the Pibil and they were right! The pork was so tender and delicious. We even tried the "royal rat" and while it doesn't sound appetizing, it was amazing! It reminded us of pigs feet. Although the restaurant is outdoors, there were plenty of fans to keep you... More

We were directed to Benny's by one of the vendors outside of Xunantunich. Wanted to try the Gibnut but it wasn't available on a Tuesday. The Pibil with handmade tortillas and watermelon juice were delicious! Liked it so much that we went back at 7 am for breakfast before heading out to Belize City. Can't wait to eat there again!

This is a great little restaurant in a small village. Don't be fooled by its low profile, it is frequented by tourists and locals alike. My wife had her favorite Belizean meal here, the pibil. I had blood sausage, or morcia, which was also delicious. This is definitely a more western Belize style of food with plantains, rice and beans... More

Great little place. Authentic enough for American tourists to have fun and feel comfortable. Also very reasonably priced. We had milk shakes and all the appetizers on the menu and we feel we had a great sample of local food. If this place would be closer to our resort I would definitely eat there more than once.

Delicious, quick, cheap, looks to be a typical stop for visitors to Xunantunich and a favorite among locals.

We stopped by for lunch after climbing. El Catillo Mayan Ruins (about two miles away) for a much deserved ice cold beer!. Burgers and nachos were great and the portions were more than adequate. We came in hungry having just hiked a couple of miles and climbed to the top of El Castillo. It is open-air on a patio with... More

We stopped at this little restaurant on our way to the Guatemalan border. The atmosphere is really neat with the entire eating space under a pavilion. They also offer some really great fresh juices. I highly recommend the pineapple.
