Every year we do the hour's drive from Nature's Valley to have lunch here. The bobotie pancakes are highly recommended.

Stopped for a bite and a coffee. Fresh food, hot coffee and friendly faces. A worthwhile stop on the long drive past Kareedouw. Thank you

We were met by the very friendly dutchman who served us 4 hungry adults the most delicious lunch. A wonderful place to stop on the Langberg Pass, R62, from Addo to Oudtshoorn.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner. Excellent service and big portions ate reasonable prices.

We stopped on a cloudy morning for tea and a treat and that was exactly what we received! Nastergal pancakes with ice cream and earl grey tea, served with a smile and a lovely sense of humor The were close to closing, but we were still welcomed and treated to tasty treats.

Four of us went here for lunch at the recommendation of hotel staff and were we pleasantly surprised? After being seated outside in the back by a friendly waitress, the varied list of pancakes, both sweet and savory, made it hard to choose. Everyone's choice was pronounced great! The owner, Hans, made us feel welcome and we invited him to... More

What a super breakfast we had here - foregoing the usual eggs 'n bacon story and choosing instead the most delicious open sandwich with ham, eggs, mustard sauce and mozzarella, called the "Uitsmjiter". Then we had the best pancakes ever ( for pudding after breakfast) for it would have been crazy NOT to try Hans's pancakes - their fame has... More

As always, our visit here is made with great anticipation and The Sweaty Dutchman never fails to deliver. The coffee is wonderful and the meals are delicious. The Pancakes, both savoury and sweet are to be recommended and the Dutch breakfast called Uitschmyter is simply magnificent. Don't drive passed this spot when visiting Kareedouw.
