You can sit and watch the waiters pull lobsters out of the water and cook them to order....what more could you ask for. We actually had brochette crevettes and a maui burger during a day trip to Pinel Island, but the atmosphere is perfect. Make sure you reserve your lunch time at the restaurant when you arrive on the island... More

If your like us, you start looking for new places to go. This was a great find. Take the ferry(boat) over. it take 10 minutes and is $10.00 P/P. The beach is great. They have chairs and restaurants. Karibuni is hidden on the left side of the island. The food was marvolous. Pinel island is a must do.

The "treat" is Karibuni Restaurant. Take the ferry from Cul de Sac to Pinel Island. Go directly to Karibuni. Make sure you make a lunch reservation because it fills up with beachgoers....and then the yachts come in. Superb food. Sometimes, but not always, they have stuffed coffre...or coffin fish....but they always have fresh fish. You will think you are on... More

After a tough kayak trip from Cul de Sac and a hike across Ilet Pinel to the desolate wind-swept north beach, we were in need of icy cold beverages & protein. Karibuni provided both in an idyllic setting. The tables are mostly set in the sand amid palm trees facing across the bay to Little Key and Cul de Sac.... More

Pinel island is a must if you are on st martin! The water is calm, iguanas are funny, and Karibuni helps you to relax. We had good experience with the stuff, meals were delicious not much more expensive then on St Martin. Definitely have to try the "real mojito"! Absolutly recommended!

Was a great day at the Karibuni. We arrived early in the morning. The staff Jordan and Philip were welcoming and most accommodating. Lunch was awesome. Cannot say enough about the smoked fish. We have been making Le Karibuni a part of our vacation time in St. Maarten for the past years and are always happy to experience it again.

I read a lot about St Martin before flying there this January and was sure the island had only public beaches. How wrong I was! After having a beer at the counter of the Karibuni Restaurant on Pinel Island, I decided to sit on the sand for a few minutes and enjoy the scene. As soon as I did so,... More

My husband and I were on a cruise. In lieu of one of the cruise line excursions, we chose to visit Pinel Island. There are two restaurants on the island. We chose Le Karibuni. They were very busy as it was the Christmas holiday, but the servers were still very good. They offer a large selection of fresh seafood cuisines.... More

We had spent a few days on the island and then decided to take a short ride over to Pinel, a turning point in the trip. We were treated like family and had an amazing lunch with incredibly fresh fish and served to our beach loungers. Service was amazing! Ask for Phillipe! Worth noting the beach is sheltered from the... More
