Was a great day at the Karibuni. We arrived early in the morning. The staff Jordan and Philip were welcoming and most accommodating. Lunch was awesome. Cannot say enough about the smoked fish. We have been making Le Karibuni a part of our vacation time in St. Maarten for the past years and are always happy to experience it again.

I read a lot about St Martin before flying there this January and was sure the island had only public beaches. How wrong I was! After having a beer at the counter of the Karibuni Restaurant on Pinel Island, I decided to sit on the sand for a few minutes and enjoy the scene. As soon as I did so,... More

My husband and I were on a cruise. In lieu of one of the cruise line excursions, we chose to visit Pinel Island. There are two restaurants on the island. We chose Le Karibuni. They were very busy as it was the Christmas holiday, but the servers were still very good. They offer a large selection of fresh seafood cuisines.... More

excellent food and friendliest staff in st martin. strong drinks (if you get the right bartender!). we enjoyed every bite of every dish, and we visited several times. long wait for food, only because they are crazy busy during the high season.

We had spent a few days on the island and then decided to take a short ride over to Pinel, a turning point in the trip. We were treated like family and had an amazing lunch with incredibly fresh fish and served to our beach loungers. Service was amazing! Ask for Phillipe! Worth noting the beach is sheltered from the... More

To make a long story short, they know you'll get there only once so they simply don't care about you. The kitchen had problems and they didn't tell anybody letting us wait 1h30' for 4 burgers. Let's forget about the price, the premises are worth while but you expect to be served fairly. Just walk a few meter and try... More

After reading a blog discussing Pinel Island, we decided to make this one of our stops in St. Martin. Karibuni did not disappoint. We ordered the cod fish fritters as an appetizer and lobster for the meal. It was fun to choose the live lobster from the trap, and then have the cooked meal presented in such an appealing manner.... We had a nice lunch while spending the day at Pinel. We ordered ribs, calamari, chicken breast and tartare. The quality of food was amazing (on the pricier side) but the waiters and waitresses were very arrogant and did not provide good service. They brought one of us the wrong order and said they're all out of what we ordered... More

Going to Pinel Island is a full day experience (see other review on the island). But when you get there, get a beach chair and umbrella from the beach boy from le Karibuni! And eat here! It is the better restaurant of the 2 on the island. And order from the specials menu or just get the fresh lobster.. You... More

Paddled to the island in kayaks and enjoyed a wonderful meal and great service! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We picked a lobster from the traps and it was perfectly prepared. Ceviche tartare was amazing and drinks were perfect! A perfect meal in a heavenly place. Kudos to the owner who was making sure everything went well! Highly... More
