There has been a change in ownership, our meals were a mixed bag.

This was a family lunch and meals ranged from great for the onion soup, and Hawian burger, good for the back yard burger, ok for the European potato soup, to disappointing for their Hungarian goulash..which was a nursing home style puriad soup not a hearty stew. Dinner buns not included, an extra $1. Restaurant observing Covid rules. Clean dining room and washroom. Handicap parking at side door. Outside seating also available. Waitress made error on bill, but otherwise friendly service.

What a find! Not only do they have a great selection of breakfasts, the food is absolutely wonderful. We had an omelette and the North Country Special. It’s great to have home-cooked meals, but to have home-cooked meals that are MUCH better than you make at home is a wonderful experience! This place is on our must visit again list!!!

Disappointing at best

I have eaten there twice the first was a lunch the waitress dropped off a menu, took my drink order and then didn’t come back until I asked another waitress almost 20 minutes. The second was a dinner, roast beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables, very small portion of vegetables, roast beef over cooked, and once again, the waitress didn’t come back until I was ready to leave not very attentive, considering the restaurant was almost empty only 3 tables .

An Excersize in Inconsistency

Suffering like every dining establishment beyond Hope from an inability to be consistent your experience may vary from fantastic to absolutely disgusting. After two very pleasing visits, we brought friends there. From the burnt frozen mystery fish & chips I got to three repeated attempts to poison our celiac friend, we finally walked out when the busboy knocked all the cutlery onto the floor, picked it up and put it back to place on other tables. Explaining our frustration to staff only made them angry and they didn't offer to comp so much as one soft drink. Haven't been back in six months, nor will any of the four of us.

Poor cooking. Please improve it

Ordered the North Country Burger to go with Caesar Salad as side instead of fries. The Caesar salad was just lettuce drowned in Caesar dressing with one piece of old crouton, few cheese and no bacon bits. I don’t get it why it was called Caesar salad and I paid 2$ extra just to have it instead of fries. Not worth it!! The burger patty was dry too! Like overcooked.I wasn’t able to finish it. Disappointing experience.

Horrible because of the waitress

Ordered online for delivery, 2 hours later no delivery. Called to just make sure they received the order since it was done though SPYCE The woman that answered the phone was so rude. I’ve never in my life experienced such a rude person. That alone makes me not want food there. She should be fired. Blows my mind she represents the company. She must be the oldest server there and yet so mean. Wow

Excellent experience

We were passing through town and after trying a couple other places that were closed we found this gem. My partner had the goulash and loved it. We both had the turkey burger and it too was excellent. Fresh and reasonably portioned. We will definitely return.

Fabulous service

This restaurant had Avery delightful atmosphere. Our waitress was exceptional, and very attentive. Were were a group of four and all of us really enjoyed our meals. We were travelling and had had several bad experiences ,so this place was a real treat.

amazing fries!

went for a business meeting and ordered a BLT on whole wheat. the server was a lovely lady who respected our time and need for "privacy" but also attended to our needs in a non intrusive way. the food was great and there was lots for the price. and the FRIES!!! wow! they were the best I've have. thanks!

Great meal

I always have a great meal here - lots to choose from. Pleasant servers and the chefs take a lot of pride in the meals they prepare. The schnitzel or ribs are super!

Good Breakfast

We had breakfast here before getting back On the road. Friendly service with eggs cooked to order along with decent real hash brown potatoes. A bit pricey however it was a good start to the day.
