This delightful restaurant is in the quiet village of Saulchoy, slightly off the beaten track but just 15 minutes from Hesdin. The drive takes you through pretty countryside.Hospitality and service were first class, and the food tasty and well portioned. This is a traditional restaurant with many well known dishes and plenty of choice, both from the menus and the... More

A bit difficult to find and didn't look great from the outside, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, wine and service. Family friendly and good value.

Fantastic local food, great service and a very good price. The menu was very well explained, for us Brits with limited French. You can also take dogs in as long as they are well behaved.

We ate here three times during our stay in France and were very pleased each time. I think my first meal was the best we were impressed with how lovely and hot the food always was and how friendly the staff were, the menu was varied and we particularly liked the colour scheme of the tablecloths and napkins. Thank you... More

We were recommended 3 restaurants all within 3 kms from where we were staying. Two of the three were closed and the menu looked very good at this restaurant. Service was attentive, ambience good, food OK, ficelle Picardy heated up in microwave with shop bought crepes, steak excellent, desserts good, an enjoyable meal but certainly not haute cuisine. Wanted to... More

We have now been to this restaurant twice since moving in the village. The owner is lovely and friendly and there is a warm atmosphere about the place and it is always busy. There is a good choice of food and is nicely presented. We will be taking family again in the summer. If you are staying in the area... More

We ate here twice in one week, both evening meals. Made to feel very welcome, nice atmsphere and lovely log fire on a winter evening. Good choice of food, very well cooked and presented and the cheese board was exceptional value. The menu Gibiers, a speciality for a limited period is a must if you like game. We wouldn't hesitate... We have been here several times over the past 10 years. The basic menu formula has not changed, the clientele is still mainly local and the food is excellent and good value. Service is friendly.
