Absolutely amazingly finished inside and out (even the bathrooms), the place is spotless. Staff were friendly and very accommodating since we hadn’t booked. Menu is made up of good hearty, traditional food and very attractively priced with an early bird menu option (which we used!) Food was delicious and they didn’t skimp on the portion sizes. Great place!

An absolutely delightful spot for Sunday lunch. The food is both cooked and served to perfection. The layout of the restaurant allows you to feel like you're privately and the service is outstanding. Our server Julie was polite and ensured our table was never left wanting more. She recommended the milk chocolate ganache and the dessert lived up to her description. Having been here for evening dining and lunch it is definitely the number one restuarant to visit in insihowen and Donegal. It caters for everyone.

The very good rating is for the food which is excellent especially the seafood chowder and the steaks! The restaurant itself is modern with stylish decor. Located outside Muff it is approximately a 10 minute drive from the end of the Foyle Bridge. Bit disappointed with staff - they are friendly but some customer service issues were a let down. Seating customers at tables beside other seated customers when there is still lots of other space within the restaurant, serving food for my partner over my food, 4/5 staff leaning against the kitchen chatting about the weekend and one waitress continually chewing gum while taking our order, serving us and generally walking around the restaurant. Hope these are issues that will hopefully improve as the food is lovely!

Table booked for 8.30. Starter was served within 10 minutes. So we were very happy. The place was busy and there was live music out in the bar. The staff were very polite. I had chicken supreme with garlic chips. My chicken was well cooked but it was very bland. I was disappointed with my main because there was nothing extra on the plate like a little veg or sauce to give it an extra taste. It was tasteless.. When the girl. lifted our dinner dishes she asked if we'd like a dessert menu. We said yes. We waited and waited and no one came back to our table. We left and went to my brother in-laws and I got hot apple crumble and custard there. What started out as very promising ended up disappointing. Not once did anyone come back to our table and ask if everything was ok or did we want anything else. Other than to lift our plates and say they will be back in a moment with the dessert menu. Which never happened...

Thank you very much for your review. We at the Treehouse appreciate all feedback, it really does help us review our own performances to continuously keep improving. I am very surprised to here you did not like the chicken supreme dish on our menu. Our pan fried chicken supreme is served with a Parmesan potato, handpicked selection of wild mushrooms topped with a homemade jus gras. The supreme is by far a firm favorite of the restaurant and it is disappointing to here it did not match our high standards on this occasion. As for the lack of attention at your table i can only apologize, we pride ourselves and a high level of honest friendly service and we have clearly failed you on this occasion. I do hope you visit us again in the future and give us another chance to impress you as i know we can.

Came as a party of 6 got seated and waited about 10/15 minutes before anyone approached us about drinks or even ordering. Once the drinks was ordered it was another 15 min wait for 4 beers and 1 wine. Was very difficult to get someone’s attention. Food was terrible! In fact I barely touched my food. The rest of the party were also unsatisfied. Waitress didn’t check or ask if everything was alright even when clearing noticing my main was barely touched she didn’t ask. We skipped dessert as food was off putting and we wanted out asap. When paying I had mentioned the awful food and the waitress responded with “ I know I hear that a lot, I don’t like the food either “not something you should be saying to a customer. No manager or supervisor in sight. Please train your staff as the service was just as bad as the food.

Had good food in the outdoor area to the back of this modern restaurant in Muff while on holiday in Donegal. While it was a cold evening we still enjoyed both the quality of the food and the good level of service on offer. All Covid precautions seemed to be in place which was reassuring. Definitely would return if ever back in the area.

We went as a family no children with ten of us and everyone was happy with the starters and main courses. The meals were both interesting and well made. But generous portions, not tiny trendy meals that places that look like this all too often are serving. There is a lot of space and the high ceiling adds to the effect, if the bar was noisy it could be a distraction in the dining room side. We were there early though for dinner. The dessert menu was much more limited and disappointing. Ice cream was plain and boring. and I had a glass of custard type dessert, it was bland and lacking something like fruity or tangy jam so it was too sickly. A disappointment but the other courses did make up for it.

Had Sunday lunch here today as a family of four. It was really disappointing. The food was bland and the service was average with the food coming to the table at different times. The kids barely touched their meals, stating they tasted wierd. Would not eat here again☹️

Had my daughters birthday lunch here last Sunday, six adults and three children. All the adult food was poor, dried up beef and tasteless mash potatoes. The kids food, sausages and chips was the only good part. Very disappointed.

Thank you for review Although we obviously love getting great reviews we rely on all opinions to keep striving forward to improve all sides of our customers experiences. We are very sorry to hear you did not like our very popular Sunday menu. However you will be pleased to here we have now replaced our 18 hour braised beef with a Roast Sirloin. We are also in the process of changing a few of the side options to keep improving our Sunday offerings. We do hope you try us again in the near future to try the changes for yourselves. Visited the treehouse recently with friends and had a really tasty 3 course meal. The mussels were in the most delicious creamy sauce with some bread on the side to dip into. Main course I opted for the prawn curry which was packed with flavour, perfectly cooled rice and naan. I like the sound of the salt n chilli fries so wasn't disappointed when the sticky sweet chips arrived to dip into my sauce. Sticky toffee pud didn't disappoint either and the staff were extremely attentive and pleasant. Thanks for a great night!

I visited with my granddaughter and quite impressed by first impressions. Its light, open and in the current situation not crowded. I had soup of the day which was a smooth cauliflower cream soup served with Guinness bread and putter, it was excellent. My granddaughter had spicy chicken wings which were tasty if not actually outstanding. Main course for me was John Dory served with baby new potatoes, some veg and a lovely lobster bisque, first class all round. Granddaughters main was chicken goujons also first class. Dessert of yoghurt panna cota was ok but served in a glass with a few berrys on top is a bit ordinary these days.

Have visited here a few times and each time I've had a positive experience and enjoyed our food. Ceasar salad is absolutely gorgeous and the brownie is simply delicious. We also had steak and was thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't have starter of hot wings but a memeber of our party did and said they were unreal, blue cheese dip which complimented them perfectly. Only negative was a member of the party had a curry and it wasn't proper breast of chicken which was very disappointing, it was like thick sliced chicken so maybe something to have a think about as they said they wouldn't order that again but this wouldn't deter us coming back at a later stage. Looking forward to hopefully indoor dining opening again in a few weeks time. Staff always very attentive and polite and the building is just gorgeous, it has a lovely feel to it, I could come here every week and just enjoy a coffee and relax with a nice book.

A warm welcome at the door and the friendliness of the service continued throughout our stay. Covid practices are clearly being observed but not so they intrude on the warm hospitality or enjoyment of our visit. A varied menu with loads to choose; our starters included chicken wings, a VERY tasty seafood chowder and ribs which melted in the mouth. Mains of battered fish and chips, lamb rump, chicken tortellini, pork belly and hake were all delicious and perfectly cooked. We just had to opt for dessert and the yummyness continued with our Chocolate Brownies and cheesecake. Local Kinegar beer among those on draught and a short but well priced and "something for everyone" wine list. This is a definite must if in this part of Donegal!!

It was such a disappointment having eaten here a few times before. we wanted to take extended family for Sunday late lunch. We were a table of 10 with wide variety of eating requirements. The menu was restricted for Sunday such that for the vegetarian and vegan amongst us it was not just limited but we were treated as thought we were an inconvenience. There was no starter option at all - eventually they conceded the soup was suitable (the menu said it had dairy). The side of vegetables couldn’t be served without butter so was a no go for us and anyone with an allergy. One of us ended up therefore ordering from the sides menu of salad and chips asking that the salad had no cucumber , the salad arrived consisting of a third cucumber when asked if all ok we pointed out this oversight. We were charged nearly 400 euros and at no point were offered an apology, recognition or sense that for some of our party things were very much below par. Terrible experience not just for options but the attitude to our requests.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. When you placed your booking on our website, you could have viewed our Sunday Lunch menu prior to booking (it’s the same menu as the last Sunday you ate here) to ensure it met your groups needs. If you had informed us when you placed the booking (in the notes section or even with a quick phone call) that members of your group had special dietary requirements, we would have been more than happy to try to accommodate them. However, this simply is not possible during a busy Sunday service without prior warning. We have a zero risk strategy when it comes to allergens so our chefs certainly would not have risked sending out the veg to someone who says they can’t have dairy but again, with prior warning we would have been more than happy to accommodate this. The mixed leaf salad was not ordered without cucumber so I’m not sure how we could have known they didn’t want cucumber. Your party also demanded extra side orders which we gave you without extra charge. Hopefully we’ll see you again soon! Regards The Treehouse
