Myself and my friend were travelling around Inishowen this week. Through Instagram, when researching for the trip, we came across this cafe as somewhere we would grab lunch on our travels.
It did not disappoint! Modern and quirky, the staff were fantastic and the food was outstanding!
Also, I had ordered the pancakes ( divine) and my friend just randomly remarked to the waitress she was sorry she didn’t get them.. the waitress brought down a sample pancake for my friend to try which was just such a lovely touch.
We felt very safe. There were clear covid guidelines in place. We waited to be seated, socially distanced tables, they took out names for contact tracing, there was a plenty of sanitiser for use, staff wore face coverings, they are doing everything right!
Definitely worth stopping here for lunch or if you live locally, you are very lucky to have such a lovely place on your doorstep!

Passing through Muff with two grandchildren aged four and five, I asked one of them to keep a look out for somewhere to eat as we were feeling peckish, having been on the road all morning. The five year old saw Tank and Skinny’s, and I’m very glad she did.
The food was delicious, the ambience delightful and the staff were friendly and courteous.
The restaurant was packed, but the staff were not put out by the never ending queue, and the hot food was served quickly, which is a bonus when looking after small children.
Definitely will be back. An added bonus was reacquainting myself with Borderlands, a blast from the past !!

have visited here before, pop across the border when on holidays in Derry City. Always get a toasted chicken, back, chesses, red onion brown bread sandwich and it's lovely, small small bit of coleslaw on the side, could give you much more.
Sweet treats are so good I have to admit and I always get one or two with a nice cuppa tea after my lunch. Stopped in here today for our wee take away on our travels and as always was lovely.
Can't wait until the republic open up again that we can have a sit down and eat in comfort instead of eating in the car

If I could give minus marks I would.
Walking in I passed a member of staff, said "good morning " I was ignored.
One person was on the phone taking an order, fully understandable, another person in the kitchen was topping up the hot hold, again I said good morning to be ignored....
Two remaining members of staff were in view having a great conversation, neither acknowledged I existed so I had to wait for the lady to finish on the phone. 5 members of staff and no one bothering about a customer. I waited for a couple of minutes but nothing. I must have been wearing my invisibility cloak.
5 minutes total, no acknowledgement so I went out.
My partner went in, had a carbon copy experience.
Honestly, I don't write negative reviews and, particularly with Covid restrictions I know things aren't easy, but at least say hello when a potential customer greets you and don't leave them hanging, ignored, when all they want to do is give you business.
Try phoning in your order, going in is a waste of time

Been going here since it opened. My wife and her friends love it if it's not too busy. For me it can be difficult. As someone who is Aspie I find the queue with items with no prices and names difficult as I always have to ask about the food when people are waiting behind, the having to point out things asking about prices gluten etc. I never notice the specials or have time to read the menu so I havmt tried many proper meals. The breakfast was nice and ceasar salad good. But the cakes have got smaller and less appetizing recently, which was disappointing for the price. I would prefer either table service or menus. Or better labeling etc. as the line can be stressful so I often pass it over. It can be very busy but when inside it's like everyone is all in one corner and loads of space is left unused on the other side and front.
When it's quiet, it's easier though.

We have been a few times before and this place is consistently good. The food service and ambience are great. The buttermilk pancake stack is highly recommended by my daughter aged 9. She declared them them to the best she has ever had and she orders them whenever possible. The decor is clever and funky and the staff friendly and helpful.

Just finished our breakfast in Tank and Skinny’s it was fantastic. My husband had the vegan breakfast, it was very tasty and filling. I had the eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this place to eat. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you

Previously a regular customer but due to very rude staff sadly will not be going back. Pros and cons typically, food is great, service is generally very slow, assuming it is why they are always at max 60% capacity as they cannot keep/lacking enough decent staff. Short version, staff member with a beard (making the coffee) was very rude to my mother while we queued, I understand you are under pressure but this is not acceptable.

We had just pulled into our digs after a long drive and were famished. Muff, Ireland is by no means, a large place. We saw the cute little place from where we parked the car and decided to give it a try and we were very pleased with the results. I had some of the best seafood chowder that I have ever had and a club sandwich on fresh bread and my lovely dining companion what what I could only describe as a tuna melt in a baked potato. She marvelled over the flavors and decided to try and make one when we got home. All of the pastries and baked goods looked great and the ones we sampled were of superior quality. Service was top notch and I would go back there in a hot minute.

Stopped here for coffee and buns - great choice (breakfast / lunches looked good too), great quality, friendly staff. Well set up as regards Covid, take contact details, seats good distance apart, clear entry / exit. They have worked hard to set it up and run it well

Found this lovely place in March just before the lockdown. My grandchildren have asked to go back ever since and today we made it. Same lovely staff and service, plus delicious food.

Great outdoor eating at T&S in these Covid times. Super menu and freshly made, good food with generous portions. Friendly helpful staff. I'd certainly stop by and visit again if travelling through Muff.

The best 'Chicken'n'Salad' sandwich in Ireland - we were on Mizen Head to Malin Head (600km) bike run over past week and had tried a few munch-stops on the way - Tank and Skinny's was - by far - the best when it comes to a Chicken'n'Salad sandwich - about 6-incehes thick etc!
