Popped in here for a quick and tasty Plowman's lunch as I was working in the area. A nice old pub with an open fire in the room, giving a pleasant atmosphere.

A very friendly pub with a welcoming log fire. Good service and home cooked food. Our nearest local so we eat there fairly regularly. Good value for money.

Wednesday night is curry night, greeted with a warm welcome and a roaring fire. The hospitality you can not fault. We ordered our meals all served with rice and papdoms, fantastic. Both myself and my partner left the bull very satisfied a couple of drinks 2 curries for under £40.00. Very highly recommend, bit of the beaten track. Very worth... More

I visited here after work to meet up with a friend and have a bite as I had drove past many times and wondered what it was like. Fortunately it is convenient to my friend and me in terms of work and homes, so booked up. There is plenty to chose from on the menu board. I always order whitebait... More

Quiet cute and cosy inside with good beer. The barmaid didn't get me the beer I ordered and the food was average seemed as if it was pre cooked and warmed up. We were offered and ordered mushy peas but got garden peas.

After a 4 hour car journey we were desperate to find a pub nearby that served lunch. This was the first we came across and what a quaint little gem. Gorgeous food at great value and lovely peaceful country village setting. Would definitely reccomend coming here!

Went here with some relatives. Although the welcome was a little weak, the food was freshly cooked & tasted delicious. For 4 adults with 2 courses each, mains & desserts, soft drinks, two glasses of wine & one Irish coffee, £87 is a reasonable cost.

This pub may be I the middle of a refurbishment. There was a skip in the car park and a picture on the wall still had clingfilm wrap on. I liked the fact that this is still very much a traditional English pub. No frills. Like stepping back I time. I wasn't convinced about the choice of music (Celine Dion)... More
