We first fell in love with this wonderful restaurant in Sept 2014 while on holiday in Arrieta. We've just recently been back to Lanzarote and stayed in Playa Blanca so decided to make the 45min journey to have lunch at our favourite restaurant. We hadn't booked and all the tables on the balcony were full so had to wait a... More

We have been to Lanzarote many times and we have eaten in many restaurants - most of them very good (thanks to TripAdvisor). El Amanecer is our favourite place of all. The location is unique - especially if you can get an outside table overlooking the ocean - but don't be too disappointed if you have to eat inside -... More

Thanks to the many previous reviews, we took a trip to El Amanecer and were not disappointed. As a group of 10, it was a bit of a long shot to turn up and expect to sit down immediately but the staff were more than happy to accommodate us. The fish was exceptional. As fresh as you could get and... More

Good, fresh food. Very simple, but quite good quality.I Offer to try calmary and lamps be sure to leave some place for dessert with mango :) By the why open hours just till 8pm and on thursday they are closed. I would suggest do not orded gambas, better choose pulppo or fish.

We visited on a weekday afternoon around 4pm. From outside the Amanecer looks very ordinary, but we they sat us on the terrace with a magnificent view over the ocean as the sun began to set. We had a conventional Lanzarote meal of gambas in garlic, fish soup and grilled sole with a bottle of the excellent local Vulcano Rosado... More

I hiked from Haria to Arrieta and arrived hungry and ready for lunch. I saw a small sign which looked like a nondescript restaurant so went inside to find a bustling lively place full of people. I wasn't dressed for the occasion and unlike a lot of restaurants who don't like giving tables for one when they busy, I was... More

This place always seems to be busy and rightly so. That said, the staff are very efficient and friendly and we didn't have to wait at all long for our meal even though the place was packed. We were there early on a Monday evening and by the time we left people were queuing for tables. The freshest of fish... More

The food in Lanzarote doesn't vary much. Fish and canarian potatoes preceded by bread and the ubiquitous mojo sauce. One restaurant can be very much like another. Amanceer, however, raises the game somewhat by having a great atmosphere and friendly staff willing to chat. This makes all the difference, especially when you're on holiday. Everything was fresh, delicious and traditional... More
