Beautiful winery and we sat outside as it was a warm evening with great views. Lovely food and we had the lamb rack which was lovely. Worth a visit

Great combination of location, good staff/ service and great food. We booked early and got a beautiful table on the terrace. Clams and cote de boef didn't disappoint. Highly recommended. Good access to reserve wines. All recommended wines were excellent including dessert wine. Great view of Te Mata peak. Highly recommended.

First of all, this is a very good restaurant with food of the highest quality. The wines, as you would expect, are also immaculate. Four us visited there recently and we all delighted with the dishes served. the 'Twice baked gruyère soufflé with thyme cream sauce' was declared the best souffle ever had at a restaurant, and the 'Heirloom beetroots,... Craggy range has a reputation as being one of the best restaurants in Hawkes Bay, expect to pat $70-80 per head, with drinks on top...but my experience has been of a Jeckyll and Hyde, kind...some times we come and all is well and they're a well oiled machine, with good service and lovely food....at other times we've been treated very poorly... Hi, I am very disappointed to hear your feedback but can you please clarify for me when you visited to help us further investigate the incident that you are referring to. The review says that you visited in August 2016 but as it is now March 2017 I am assuming that this date is incorrect so could you please let... More

We had an awesome lunch with great wine pairings. The lamb rack and chocolate delice were delicious. Don't miss the potatoes on the side, they're a must. The staff were knowledgable and attentive, with solid recommendations for dishes and wine pairings. Definitely recommend visiting when visiting the Hawkes Bay region.

The friendly staff really set this place apart. The setting is amazing, as is the food, but the staff really are terrific. I'd go back just because of them. We went there for a belated birthday dinner and stayed in one of the fabulous cottages onsite. That too was superb! Had wine and appetisers in our cottage then wandered over... More

We called in for a glass of wine and some light lunch - unable to be catered for in the restaurant - when we asked if we could order a couple of starters and a glass of wine each - Wednesday/mid-week) - also Craggy Range is no longer offering platters which we have enjoyed before, and would have been a... I was very excited reading the reviews for this restaurant, but the food and service was merely average for me. Lamb was no better than I would make at home and we were hurried out minutes after the waitress opened another bottle of wine we had ordered. The grouper did receive much better reviews than my lamb however.

Super delicious French style food - you have to try the clams and cote de beouf!! And the setting of the place is just breathtaking.

We enjoyed a dinner here on a trip to a number of vineyards in the region. The location was good and the atmosphere nice. The food was good but not exceptional. The sourdough bread did not appear fresh which was a disappointing start. We might have been picky having dined at other nearby locations and enjoyed excellent food. Our waiter... More
