We visited last night for the first time. We can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The staff, service and food was outstanding. If you are a chicken lover the Chicken stuffed with sauted mushrooms and swiss cheese with sauce is unbelievable. And the veal cutlets were the real deal! So tender!!! We will be back. Thankyou to everyone there for a wonderful evening!

My husband and I love this restaurant. I love the fact that the decor is done with quiet conversation in mind. You don't have to shout to your companions. The food is consistently delicious. The steak will be done the same today as it will be next month. The Cottage is our go to place in Regina. It is locally owned and run and the staff always treat you like family.

Excellent, all around!
We stopped in for dinner, based on the reviews, not realizing it was more formal dining. We were dressed very casually but made to feel very welcome. Service was friendly & impeccable. Steaks were done perfectly. This will be a new go to when we are in Regina

The service from our waiter was outstanding. Friendly and knowledgeable.The atmosphere is good. The clam chowder soup was good. Everything else was very poor. The Greek salad consisted of a pile of shredded iceberg lettuce topped with a sprinkling if feta cheese, i/4 of a small tomato and topped with ONE black olive. Would not recognize it as a Greek salad ! Our meals were dreadful. The breaded veal appeared to be a formed patty. Possibly frozen. No flavor. Lemon potatoes were good. The fish and chip plate was also poor and not eaten. Chips were greasy and fish fillet again tasted like it had been frozen for awhile.We were not able finish our meals. The prices are very high in this restaurant , not reflecting the quality of the food. We would not recommend eating here. Thee are so many better places in Regina.

I am amazed this place has such a high rating. The food is extremely salty. We went to this place twice in December ordering different items; and they were all really salty. On top of that, food is super overpriced. I guess if you have not been to any restaurants outside of Regina or if you are above 55 years old you might like it. Will not be returning.

I'd been here previously and had a great experience. I planned on ordering the rack of lamb again.
This time, we sat for almost 30 minutes to order and didn't get served/acknowledged while multiple employees walked by or gathered by the bar to visit. Another table placed their order that came in 15-20 minutes after us.
We got up and left, it will be a long time before I go back.

Last night was honestly one of my worst fine dining experiences. We arrived for our reservation and we were seated by the bar. The first irritation was the broken table that wobbled precariously if any of us leaned on it. The second was the staff that gathered at the Bar to gossip and discuss thier plans for the evening. I would have complained and asked to be moved if it was just us, however we were with friends and i was tring to manage my frustration. Our food was delicious and the waitress was good but when the gossip escalated, the bar fridge door continued to slam. It was so incredibly noisy. I had enough! At the end of the meal I mentioned my complaints to the waitress. She apologized and said she would speak to the manager(appropriate). I saw her do so. The ultimate insult is that the manager did not even stop by our table to inquire or apologize - for this reason alone -we will NEVER go back.
Go to Greckos across the street! Great food and a much better experience.

So disappointed. This used to be an excellent fine dining restaurant, but the past 2 times we have gone it has been a lower class expensive restaurant.
The food was good, the service was very poor, when I complained and asked to speak to the manager, he refused to come over.
A 4 star rating fell to a 0 when I saw him shrug my complaint off.
We WILL NOT go back!!

A friendly staff who seems to appreciate your presence. Food, as always is excellent. Superior bar menu with some unique drinks. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, perhaps newly renovated? Tastefully done and very comfortable. Not an inexpensive outing but quite enjoyable, worth a visit.

This is our family’s favourite restaurant! Great for lunch or a special occasion. It’s hard to find a nice restaurant with white tablecloths etc. Food is excellent and service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

Ordered a lobster tail for dinner, my husband ordered a steak. The steak was great the lobster over cooked, sent it back received a second lobster also overcooked.
Clearly they can’t cook a lobster tail but won’t admit to it.
Won’t be going back.

Wow. I’ve been to The Cottage many times for special occasions over the decades. Family owned and run. Local. Always excellent food. Tonight for the first time I ordered the steak instead of Chicken a la Cottage. I’m super picky about my steaks. I want a ribeye done “Chicago rare” and anything less and I’m sending it back. Server said I should trust him that the chef knows how to do a ribeye Chicago rare and wow…it was the best steak I have ever had. Huge portion (I had to take half home) and cooked to perfection with a 5 star rating in the quality of steak. Not overly expensive for a ribeye but enough that if it wasn’t perfect that I would send it back. Well…I didn’t have to send back. Perfect!!! Exactly, and I mean exactly, how I want a steak. Of course everything else was perfect including the garlic bread, Greek salad, roast potatoes, and excellent desserts. Service is beyond fantastic too.
Go to the cottage for lunch or dinner. Come as you are. Make reservations if you can because this place is very popular but they always have room if you pop in.
Lovely people. Support local. Find this hidden gem in Regina. Doesn’t look like much as you drive by but you will see how lovely it is when you walk through the doors.

Went here with friends for supper. My pepper steak was excellent steak cooked perfect, sauce was wonderful. Everyone else loved their meals as well
