My wife and I stopped in unexpectedly. We never did any research, we're hungry, saw and stopped. Firstly, our server asked to take our big bulky jacket(wintertime) and they asked if we'd like a hot apple cider. Yummy and warm. Then we both had onion soup. From the many onion soups we've had in the province, it rated fair to... More

My husband, 12-year-old daughter and I stumbled upon Le Lapin Saute on our first day in Quebec....and it was one of the best meals we had in Quebec! It was mid-afternoon, and we'd been turned away from several places that were pubs - and so did not allow anyone under 18 inside. The waitress was so warm and welcoming, offering... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a late afternoon lunch. The restaurant is small and quaint. I felt like we were sitting in someone's kitchen in their home. We ordered from the menu of the day - vegetable soup and duck leg confit cassoulet for me, and chorizo baguette and cod with polenta for him. The food was incredible... More

had lunch there on a very cold winter day the onion soup was very good but could have used a bit more broth, the alad was a large winter salad very nice as well. Duck breast was nicely done and the rabbit rilette was excellent. I had asked for gluten free and was suprised to see a dish listed on... More

My fiancé and I went to QC City in March 2017 in -30 weather. We "jumped in" to the Lapin Saute (pun intended) - it was quaint (maybe 30 seats), warm, friendly staff, lovely music - great food. Do not count the calories and enjoy a nice glass of wine. :)

Went for lunch at Le Lapin Saute recently, and I had a good experience. I had the Rabbit Cassoulet and it was really good. The service is great, the prices are very reasonable and the food was perfect for the extremely cold of that day. If in Quebec City and want to try some non pretentious French restaurant, I would... We visited this lovely restaurant for lunch in Old Quebec City on a cold winter day. The restaurant is warm and cozy. It is not a large building and ideal for couples and/or relatively small groups. Besides its varied lunch menu, it also sells a restaurant unique brand of rabbit pate. The food was excellent and the service in French... More

This is a great little restaurant on Le Petit Champlain in Quebec City. Great food and atmosphere! It is small so better to make a reservation or go in off-peak hours.

I ordered the 3-course meal: the risotto for appetizer , rabbit pouting for main course and the berry sugar pie for dessert. My girlfriend ordered the braised rabbit for main course and truffles for dessert . The rabbit is as tasty as you can imagine and we finished them all. We spent around 80 dollars for 2 ppl.
