Pleasant little place. Great French Toast and eggs Benedict. Authentic scones made at the bakery next door. Friendly service. Thank you for making a great omelette for the allergic person in our party.

Back in Montreal for a few days, met some friends for afternoon tea, plentiful, very good scones and homemade caramel, jams and of course delicious cucumber sandwiches and the sweets were very...well sweet. I'll definitely go back. The photos look exactly like what you will get.

Whenever it is a special occasion, I look forward to visiting the ever-awesome Gryphon d'Or for brunch. It feels like you have been invited into their own kitchen and treated to the most amazing food. The rarebit sauce (Guinness and cheddar), homemade scones, apple crisp, potatoes, stuffed French toast (all 3 flavours) are all my favourite. Top that with a... More

I am a big fan of afternoon tea and I usually go to the two same tea rooms in Montreal. When I learned that one of them was closing (Birks Café), I decided to try Gryphon d'Or because I heard great reviews about it. The tea selection was great. The sandwiches and desserts were good. The scones weren't bad but... More

I tried this place once and was impressed. Tried it twice more and can confirm that the quality is absolutely incomparable. The best brunch I've ever had, bar none! Everything is homemade, including sauces and jams, and of the highest quality. Staff and the owner work together to create an incredibly friendly ambiance. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Every time I go to Montreal I try to make it to the Gryphon D'Or. It's a perfect way to settle down and have a good chat with friends while having fantastic food and drink! They start by giving you a miniature pink lemonade with your scones. Absolutely delightful! You have the option of tea, and they offer about a... More

This was the highlight of my visit to Montreal. We had an afternoon tea service, and it was amazing!! The scones were the absolute highlight. They are homemade, hot, and served with jam, caramel sauce, cream, butter, and lemon curd. Then, they serve wonderful lox with cream cheese on Scottish pancakes, finger sandwiches, and the most wonderful desserts. All this... More

We went here for Sunday brunch as a family for Mothers Day. The ambiance is very casual and humble, the food is truly made with love and wonderful fresh ingredients. My kids 9 & 6 loved the board games and said it was the "best french toast EVER". We are foodies at heart and found this place to be a... More
