We had a family meal at this restaurant (about 30 of us). I liked that the tables had nice linens. The group menu had a good variety of plates to choose from. I had the chicken with pasta, my husband had the steak with vegetables and other people at our table had the pizza. Everything was so tasty and the... More

Elio's is the type of restaurant that does not change. The atmosphere, food and cost are all indicative of a fine family operation. You have great choices in both pizzas and pasta, so just about everyone can be satisfied, and sharing is not unusual if you order the regular sized portions. Smaller sizes are also available at a reduced charge.... More

We have been dining at Elio's for over 45 years. The classic recipes of Elio and Mama have endured the test of time. THE best pizza in town, hands down. Generous toppings, fab pepperoni and many layers, quality vegetables and the best cheese. Always cooked to perfection. Greatest spiritual thing....to see the new generation of the family Di Lauro on... More

Were there for a family gathering, great pizza and pasta. Typical Italian flavours...they make a GREAT pizza.

We hadn't been to Elio's in years and then this past Wednesday we took a visiting relative from Naples for pizza. From the moment we arrived it was just like old times. We were given a fantastic spot and our waiter was quick and efficient ensuring we immediately had water, then took our order. Our visiting guest requested a customized... More

Went for dinner with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Haven't been there in a few years and was looking forward to a good meal. We started with the Italian sausage appetizers. .don't bother.. was looking forward to a hearty Italian style appetizer..but got 10 to 15 thinly sliced pieces of sausage smothered in good hearty sauce...😦 I ordered the chicken... Amazing authentic Italian food. Great friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but if you're a big group I would definitely reserve since the line tends to get big in the evening.

This place is not like it used to be.The sauce tasted like something out of a can, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case. The lasagna was partly lukewarm and partly cold with a layer of cheese not even melted. The overall quality of the ingredients is very poor, as was on the pizza particularly the sausage and... More

A lot of people will argue about which restaurant is better, Elio or Napoletana. I'm a big fan of both and they each have their own styles. I tend to prefer the quiet and more remote location of Elio, including the fact that it looks like an authentic old fashioned Italian restaurant, somewhat forgotten with time, in the sense that... This place is the best. I love their pizza and their pasta. Everything is delicious, fresh and homemade. I have been there many times and I always leave there with my hands full. I buy to take back home the pasta and the homemade meat sauce and pizza too. They are always busy which is a good sign. They have... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
