Cozy, intimate atmosphere (reminding me of Paris), friendly attentive staff (not reminding me of Paris) and excellently prepared food at a reasonable price. The food was delicious and particular attention was given to the presentation. After a delicious starter, a beautifully garnished and delectable cream of carrot soup, our expectations were lifted... and the main course did not disappoint. We... More

By night, do not back off just because of the outside, get inside and discover a very cosy and nice place, mostly frequented by locals (and lost tourists like us), which serves very good meals. Food is French and deserves the reference. I had a celerie rémoulade that I found very good and enjoyed. The steak that I got was... More

We had the most wonderful group lunch today...as I mentioned to the chefs on the way out, they run this restaurant like a "well-oiled machine"! The place was packed, yet we received prompt, friendly, efficient service. The food was perfectly executed - it looked beautiful and tasted fantastique. Entrees, mains, desserts - all perfect. It's not easy serving such a... More

One of my favorite spot in the area: great for meeting friends or a date as the room is very small and the service very casual. The owner or one of his protege will cook you the meal in the open kitchen. Great bavette and wine list. I recommand to call in advance in order to see if they have... More

I went there today for lunch as I was in the vicinity. I did not know this small restaurant, bistro style, but I enjoyed myself a lot, sitting at the counter as all the tables were taken or reserved. The nice thing about sitting at the counter is that you see the two chefs cooking and exchanging jokes in a... More

Even though it is a small restaurant, the food is terrific especially the Bavette and Filet d' Agneau au fromage de chevre. Service is very good. The restaurant is on La Riviere street in Montreal centre-sud and you can park easily in that area at no cost. The restaurant is small and you would need to reserve to be sure... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
