We went there yesterday (Saturday November 12th) evening for a casual meeting with friends. The place was full but we had reservations so our table for 4 was ready. Menu is all Italian. I had the Rottini with lobster and crab meat. Delicious. One of the group had the pasta a la bolognaise which was a full plate with lots... More

I went there for a lunch on the weekend. The restaurant is not always opened for lunch, You better check before going there. Food was very good, service was friendly. This is a nice neighbourhood to walk around.

Excellent food, cosy location, easy street parking. Particularly good selection of homemade pasta dishes. Friendly staff. A great choice for a night where you don't feel like cooking and want great food and a comfortable environment without having to get dressed up. A mix of locals, businessmen, couples - very comfortable vibe.

Excellent Italian dining. I ordered the caprese insalata as an appetizer and used bread to basically lick the plate. Penne with duck as a main course and you don't have to go searching for the duck, there's a good amount in there. Great experience, delicious food, will be going back.

The prices are so unreasonable and foods quality is not expensive. However, the staff are polite and helpful. If you need a calm place and don't like noisy place it is a good one.

I came here for dinner with 4 friends tonite. The decor was nice and so was the service. The menu was primarily pasta at reasonable prices. I ordered the minestrone soup and the funghili with veal for my main dish. My friends also ordered pasta dishes. The soup arrived warm not hot, watery and the vegetables were diced and under... I took my son here as he loves pasta. We shared an Insalata Caprese with mozzarella di Buffalo which was just perfect. My son has the half bowl of spaghetti bolognaise, which they list as half beef half veal. It was ok, barely any meat on it really, but the sauce was great otherwise. I had the parpadelle with mushrooms... More

So last week I had tried Les 9 Muses, and right across from it is Le petit Italien, so I made a mental note to try this place. So tonight I came to try it. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations, maybe my expectations were to high. Let's start with the pros: •Very nice and attentive staff •Romana Salad... More

Cozy restaurant with pretty decent Italian food. 15 min drive from downtown Montreal. Beef tartare was best choice. Staff was friendly but service was very slow. Had a reservation but had to wait 30 min because table wasn't ready.

Food is very authentic Italian... not Americanized. Variety of appetizers and entres plus daily specials. Staff is professional, friendly and courteous. Great location on Bernard Street in a very French village like atmosphere in Outremont, a very short hop from downtown Montreal.

Thank Summerchill

Staying in Outremont

Neighbourhood Profile
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theatre productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighbourhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
