I took my mom there for her first time in Montreal and we absolutely loved it! The food was FANTASTIC and so reasonably priced for a beautiful atmospheric charming place in the heart of Old Montreal. We will definitely be coming back!

We went to that restaurant to have a quick supper before going to a show. I have to say that the service was made very kindly and with efficience. About the food: it was delicious but the portions were not so big considering the price. And the salad bar was under my expectations.... It is a nice and comfortable place...... More

When I walked in on a Thursday evening at 8:05pm the staff seemed a bit put off as obviously they wanted to shut stuff down and clear the place out. They were cleaning the bar etc. Restaurant was quiet. Barely sat down and they asked me what I wanted. Anyway, ordered dinner....Chicken Parmigiana. It was mediocre. It came out super... More

Delicious food - so delicious we ended up coming here 2 of our 4 nights in Montreal. They have a salad bar that's complimentary with a pasta entree. The pasta's were amazing!!! Nice selection of wine and desserts were delicious. They treated my 4 and 6 year old nieces very well, were so accommodating. Highly recommend!

It probably seems strange to go out for Italian food in Montreal, but it was fantastic! The food was great, the salad bar was interesting and tasty and included a lovely Fennel salad. I had a filet of salmon with pesto thin spaghetti. The ambience is beautiful and atmospheric and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and well-trained. And it... More

We were looking for a simple place with simple food, to satisfy a somewhat fussy pre-teen diner. This place worked perfectly. We walked in without a reservation on a Friday evening (April), and had no trouble getting a table (admittedly, it was early, around 5:30 or 6), even though the place had plenty of patrons. The service was very friendly... More

Used TA to help choose this venue based on reviews, food type and location. Ambiance is pleasant and our server was friendly and efficient, Superb garlic butter was served with mediocre rolls. Dinner was lasagna with meat sauce, Duo Sur Saint Dennis : 2 manicotti with ricotta & spinach topped with Mozzarella served with spaghetti and meat sauce, Dish needed... More

This restaurant is simply amazing. We randomly went 10 years ago and keep going back to it ever since, when we are in Montreal. They make their own pasta, meat sauce is amazing, meal includes salad bar and bread with delicious garlic butter. I have tasted other meals and it was delicious but I keep going back to the spaghetti.... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
