Mossa is new since my last visit and friends encouraged me to try it. What a gem! It's BYOB, so one can drink fantastic wine without paying exorbitant prices. The food was fantastic -- I had a delicious escargot appetizer followed by an equally delicious pasta and scallops dish. The service was extremely friendly, very guest-oriented, but never intrusive. Had... More

Great food and waiters and bring your own wine so that's quite nice also. NOT a big place and can get quite busy so reservations almost a must for most night. NOT open for lunch and will have an outdoor patio as usual starting in May when the street is closed to vehicular traffic for the Summer. Place to go... More

We went on a Saturday night, without a reservation. They found us a table. In the future, I will reserve. The local is very trendy and so is the menu. The whole menu is a three services "table d'hôte". It comes with a ceasar salad, an appetizer and the main dish. Desert and coffee are not included. The food was... More

A favourite in the Village - something for everyone with an interning "everything included" format. Wonderful flavours, intense flavours and consistently perfect pasta. Service staff are fantastic every time. We love this place.

Excellent quality and price usually go to the one in Laval. My wife and I were downtown and didn't know where to eat, saw Mozza and immediately decided that's where we're going. Same quality food and reasonably priced. Thine crust Pizza just the way we like it.

Hubby and I enjoyed our experience. Great place, great ambience and the food is exceptional! Also, the service was great and we were not left waiting long. But the number one coolest thing is the disco lights and music in the bathrooms--I was caught off guard in a very fun way! We would definitely recommend having a night out here... More

I visited this place with 5 other great friends on Saturday night. One of my friends had made the reservation almost a week before. The place is small and tight but the service is really good. Our waiter was Quentin, a very cute and nice guy. The food was delicious. I had escargots for the first time and I was... More

Solid Italian in Montreal with a big menu and something for everyone. Pizza and pasta reliable. But the lasagna was really great. Huge portion with meatballs and sausage. Fun convivial setting. And generous wine pours. Very conveniently located.

One price concept makes it way to enjoy multiple courses. The menu is extensive and interesting. Our pastas were incredible, flavourful and a perfect portion. No lack of variety so we recommend you return often. Maybe the coolest washrooms in the city. Go and go often!

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
