We were recommended these bagels by a butcher at Katz's Charcuterie and it didn't disappoint! They are delicious: soft and chewy on the inside and crusty and amazing in the outside! We got their "all-dresses" bagels and enjoyed every bite! They are cash only, so come prepared and buy extra to freeze if possible!

Made a quick stop to pick up bagels. Cash only. Entrance has room for maybe 3 people, otherwise bagels to the ceiling. Don't expect sandwiches, toppings, drinks or anything else... it is 100% bagels.

Both times I have been here to ge bagels they have been very busy. It is so worth the trip and visit. Workers are friendly. Chocolate chip and sesame seed are the best.

It is a nice but small place. It is very busy and the bagels are very good! They have both classic bagels (sesame, pavot, whole wheat) and sweet ones too. However we were disappointed with the service, the person wasn t nice, didn't listen to us and then wasn't happy when we reminded her what we wanted ...

Great fresh bagels. They have multiple variety. Note to tourist, they just sell bagel and if you want add butter, cream cheese or lox you have to bring your own. Redmond to buy the bagel here and take it home to eat it.

Since I love a good New York style bagel I knew I had to try the Montreal bagel. The bagels are smaller than a New York one for sure. I had it plain and it was sweeter than a New York one would be but it is just as tasty.

Fresh bagels with different flavors and reasonable prices. Good try and eat when they are still fresh! I'm not a bagel person but can feel the difference of having the bagels boiled in honey water then stone baked. Taste better than conventional ones - much better than the mass production ones at supermarkets and more flavorful than those at Tim... More

While in Montreal I had to check out Fairmount bagels, after all it was the first bagel in space. The bagels are good, have a bit of a sweet taste. The sesame ones were fresh from the oven and still hot which was nice. I was disappointed you couldn't get some cream cheese or smoked salmon with the bagel, there... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
