We visited this superb restaurant in the Old City of Montreal and had an absolutely superb dining experience. The food was outstanding, the menu innovative and there service excellence. The noise level was a little higher than I like, but didn't detract from the evening. Heartily recommended.

Totally delicious, creative, fresh dishes with great service. Nice but not stuffy. Would return in a heartbeat. It was a wow.

Had birthday dinner here and it actually lived up to all hype and our expectations! Cool space, dark and moody. Sommelier was truly amazing and friendly. Servers were professional and friendly, even for working in such a hotspot of a restaurant. We had so much difficulty choosing appetizers that we had to order three to share between the two of... Le Club Chasse et Pêche gets lots of wild positive reviews on various sites. This inevitably sets the prospective diner for a fall by having very heightened expectations. Well friends....this place is even better than the hype. The food is what I describe as "Artist's palette" style, i.e., avoiding the abomination of "stacked" ingredients that inevitably force you to dismantle... More

This was our last night in Montreal. This is a totally upscale place and the food is Fabulous. My husband and I decided to just split whatever we ordered because we could not decide what to have. So our waiter Philip just did it for us and made 4 small courses for us. It made the evening even more special.... More

Foodies rejoice, this place doesn't disappoint. Dishes are well thought out (not you're everyday or any day homemade) - who has the time energy or thought to do what they do ~ risotto with frozen shaved foie gras? Excellent! A prof smart friendly wait staff, our meal: three appetizers one main one dessert with a bottle priced at ($200) and... More

My wife and I are lucky enough to have eaten in some excellent, upscale restaurants, and this place was one of the best. The service was awesome, in that, there was a table of 10 drunk business creeps near us. We asked to be moved, and the hostess and server couldn't have been more professional and understanding about it. I... More

If you didn't know where this place was, you would never stumble on it. Once inside, it is a delightful surprise. Everything about it was top notch. Food, service, ambiance. As for all fine dining we encountered in Canada, the drinks are small by US standards and the prices 20 to 30% high, even after the exchange rate. That said,... More

Fantastic high-end restaurant with impeccable service and cuisine. The venison in particular was superb. A great spot for a special occasion.

Consistent great food and professional service. It's located in the beautiful Old Montreal. Their menu changes constantly and it's always fresh. Service is professional, friendly but not intrusive. Extensive wine list, warm classic decoration. A must-try!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
