Stash's cafe was indeed a treasure find for us on our first evening in Montreal. Delicious traditional Polish food in a great friendly atmosphere. Reasonable prices and the wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I think the restaurant is fine for kids although I don't remember seeing a kids menu. As in the previous answers, the earlier the better.

There are definitely vegetarian options, now some of those vegetarian dishes could be prepared in butter. I agree with most of the replies here. Just give them a call.
