A delicious bagel cafe and bagel take out counter. The breakfast menu is fairly standard, revolving around bagels and eggs. Seating and food service was quick, the food was delicious without being greasy. This spot lost points for atmosphere, it was cramped (though what else can you expect on a Saturday morning.) The bagels are wonderful!

Just your average bagel place in Montreal. Being on Monkland doesn't make it special. Was expecting a bit more...

For years I refused to believe those Canadians who insisted their bagels were better than New York Bagels. But these are chewier, and have more personality than NY Bagels. We had the Fairmount bagels the day before, and now announce that the St V bagels are the better bagels! This cafe was bustling on a Sunday morning, but the staff... More

Having friends from all over the city and Laval makes this Café a great place to meet. There is always parking on the side streets. The food is delicious. The best bagels! The service is quick and we are never rushed. My favorite breakfast place! After breakfast you can pick up a dozen bagels to bring home. All bagels are... More

Bagel, lox and cream cheese. With all the goodies they offer on the sandwich. Everything else will also be tasty too. But Bagel, Lox and Cream cheese with a cup of coffee on their patio is perfect to meet old friends or if you are here for a weekend.

You can have the same signature Montreal bagels on Monkland. The Lox, cream cheese, on a bagel is tops. With the accoutrements of course. Enjoy the patio. And then buy bagels to takeout

Nothing beats a Montreal Bagel. Been enjoying these bagels since 1982, a trip to Montreal is not complete until we have our bagels from St Viateur. As I recall, the original location doesn't even have a lock on the lock...! Now they have other satellite locations where these bagels are baked in a wood stone oven. Don't leave Montreal without... Decided to have lunch here because it was the busiest restaurant on the street. Proof that this is not good criteria on which to choose a restaurant. The place was packed. And super noisy. Of course, we were seated next to a group of 8 with 3 children under the age of 7 who spent the whole time screaming, climbing,... More

Because it ranks No.1 bagel in Montreal (from 1957), I bought half dozen for a try. I like the variety of bagels in this restaurant. However, the cost ($5.10 for 6) is a little bit more expensive than others but for sure acceptable.
