The sandwiches were fantastic! The venue was fun in that it was tiny and they sit you with strangers to maximize space. Honestly the sandwiches were a little better than Dunns but I'd go back to Dunns repeatedly. Schwartz's felt more touristy and a one...More

This place is over-rated and full of tourists. Sure the smoked meat was fantastic, juicy and flavoursome but the fries were nothing to write home about (and a pickle is a pickle, right?). The line to get into the seating area was long for a...More

Everything you've already read or heard about Schwart's is absolutely true. Going here is absolutely an experience I would highly recommend. We went for take-out and didn't have much of a wait, just before 11:00 on a Sunday, allthough the place was completely packed. The...More

Good food and an interesting atmosphere. Expect a lineup at most times but it moves fairly quickly. Food is excellent as species, service was excellent. Not fancy inside but it's about the food and uniqueness of the place. A very long walk from old Montreal.

Loved my smoked meat sandwich - ordered a pickle to add to it! Just a reminder - they only take cash, but there is a cash machines next to the washrooms.

We went specially to go having read it's reputation. The place is delapidated and the food maintained in plastic sealed packs. Whether the end result is good or bad this is not a place in my opinion worth the effort. Why it has a queue...More

The place is impressive and the service is excellent and fast. The staff is welcoming. The price is cheap and does not affect the quality of the food. Highly recommended. It is worth arriving and waiting in line.

Like what is said above just order a big or small plate medium fat without the rye bread. Add a couple of pickles , hot banana peppers and fries and your on your way. Hell of a cholesterol/salt rush but you can spoil... More
