To begin, we were seated by a pretentious person who clearly lacked social skills. The overall service was okay....The decor is welcoming but we felt uncomfortable by a few members of the staff! THE OSSO BUCO, which is supposed to be veal shank, turned out to be something else, the meat was tuff but the sauce was good. The pasta's... More

We did not eat at the restaurant but we did order food from the counter and had it there along with a coffee and their delicious home-made gelato. Your choice, you can either eat at the restaurant upstairs, take food out at the take-out counter and either eat it there or take it home, or shop for Italian pastas, olives,... More

You have really three businesses in one location; a restaurant upstairs, a gelato and coffee counter downstairs and next door prepared food and gourmet products. and a little side-walk terrace. I've always gone and keep returning for the excellent ice cream (gelato) with spouse, family and friends. It is the origin of Roberto's and still in my view the best... More

A must for Italian food lovers!! Great ambiance, and an abundant choice on the menu. The pate with raisin toast is amazing!! Yes, an unheard combination, well worth the try...a party of flavors in your mouth. The pasta is homemade and fresh and delicious. An absolute must for the ice cream!!

We went for a second time this february with a bunch of italian family and friends. I will speak for us 2 only. The calamari fritti was the worst i ever tasted. Cold. Unproperly cooked. No flavour at all. Shame on you guys for serving this to your customers. The veal al limoni not tender, taste was barely there and... More

Well recommended. Very nice menu. House specialties are delicious. Homemade pastas. Nice and professional service. Little shop on the 1st floor for foodies. Being there with my Italian family and friends was a good test. They succeeded big time. We will be back for sure.

Loved this place. Enjoyed the complementary never ending bread with their own balsamic vingegar and oil for dipping and pickled beets. The pasta is fresh and homemade with generous portions. The veal was so tender it could be cut with a fork. Go downstairs after your meal and enjoy the wonderful assortment of gelato. They will even mix it half... More

Great Italian eatery. Has been in business for many years and has a solid reputation for fine food at a very reasonable price. Service is excellent and food is delicious. Great spot for a family outing.....just like eating at Nonna's home. Also great Gelato downstairs as well as frozen dinners and deli counter

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
