This is one of the more highly regarded Italian Restaurants in Montreal. I was here on my Birthday, and I wanted to eat chicken – this wasn’t on the menu – however they made me chicken Parmesan . The chicken was fresh and excellent ! I also had the stuffed portobello mushroom and that was incredibly tasty. I had a... More

Bis Ristorante gets a well-deserved 5+ star rating from me! Marcello was so charming and our entire party (all 11 of us) would like to thank him and his great staff for a memorable and enjoyable dinner. Everyone raved about the food! We had a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts and all proved to be delicious and beautifully... More

Went with high hopes. Food was decent. Only reason ranked 3 star as the service was good. Food wasn't flavourful or tasteful. Pretty bland to be honest. Had the steak and pasta. It's in high traffic zone and tourist trap. There are other better restaurants like Joe Beef to try in Montreal in the same price point.

My husband and I chose to eat here on our last evening staying in Montreal. It was very close to our downtown hotel. What a wonderful choice. We were seated right by the window. Attentive and most friendliest of staff as soon as you walk into the door and they take your coats! I had the clam linguine and it... More

The service at Bis was excellent throughout, and the atmosphere was nice. I had one of their cocktails which was very tasty, and then the melanzane dish for my main meal, which was very tasty. As a vegetarian, there weren't too many options but this one suited me well.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
