I visited this restaurant with my parents, as we all love seafood, and we were all very pleased. They had a large variety of oysters, for those who like that, and the clam chowder was very good. We all had scallops as our main course, and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to other people. It's hard to say... More

For the best oysters in Montreal and an incomparable seafood experience! To make tastings of oysters: always a nice selection of oysters to discover. I've been a fan for almost 20 years! This restaurant is located on Saint-Laurent Street in Montreal, so directly in downtown. The walls are covered with oysters that have been tasted by celebrities who have spent... More

We went for a date night out away from the little one for a few hours while grandma took care...we had a really good Cesar, they have some great beer selections (i took a Morretti ) and the Oysters were fresh and at decent price...we did not have a entree due to leaving for another engagement but i enjoyed our... The food is unremarkable. I had the salmon. It was overcooked and had a burnt taste. The service is good if you enjoy waiting ... Pass this one.

We ordered just appetizers... so we had 2 orders of oysters.. expensive but good. crab cakes which were amazing and mussles. All we fresh and tasty. The seafood platters looked amazing and kind of regret not going all out. On our next trip we will be sure to go big! It is expensive but it is seafood so expected.

It is not a oyster bar like you chuck and swallow. It is a restaurant you can taste the oysters, enjoy a nice glass of wine and watch people stroll by. A great way to spend a late afternoon before dinner. Or stay there for dinner, eat more oysters and enjoy more wine. What is not to like??

This is my go to oyster bar. I love the happy hour Beaujolais ones, but the variety is top notch. Always something new to try. The service is fantastic. Have been there 4 times with a fantastic experience every time. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient

Recently dined here after reading the great reviews. I ordered the crab cakes as an entree and the seafood Louisiana as the main course. Well, the crab cakes finally arrived and they weren't the best we had sampled. The top was so soft that it was as if it would collapse. The bottom part was covered with a crust -... More

Their caesar salad was artfully presented, with fresh shaved parmesan, but the dressing was a bit bland. The mussels with white wine, garlic and cream were properly prepared, but I did not taste any garlic and the cream did not really add anything. The restaurant itself has a cool look / vibe and the waiters are all right. Perhaps diners... More

We were in the mood for seafood, in particular mussels. My wife found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and was located close to where we were staying so we made a reservation. It turned out that night was all you could eat mussels night. We both ended up eating two large bowls of wonderfully prepared mussels along with frites and a... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
