Absolutely a gem of an Italian restaurant in the heart of Montreal. Fantastic pasta, the veal chop was one of the best I have ever had. The presentation is excellent. Service is superb. The wine list is extensive. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a great Italian meal while in Montreal.

We booked a group dinner at DaVinci for a group of 15. Our waiter Lavi was wonderful, he described the menu options verbally beautifully and we never had the open a menu. Our meal started with a sampler plate of multiple apps ( calamari, salmon, shrimp, tomato/cheese...). We each received a sampler plate of the house pasta. Ordered our individual... More

The atmosphere in this restaurant is intimate. We did not want a big or heavy supper and opted for salmon. The waiter asked how we wanted it cooked. Once it arrived, it is best described as melt in your mouth. They can also accommodate special requests such as dairy free. The service was superb- waiter ensured all our needs were... More

Great ambiance and excellent service. Our waiter Carlo was the best; he was super attentive! We were very impressed with his natural ability to provide such spectacular service. Overall, the food was great. You MUST take the osso buco, it is the best I have ever tasted. Another great choice is the ricotta gnocchi and the cavatelli with mushroom and... More

It was a wonderful dining experience, because of the menu selections and suggestions of the lead waiter for our group (Lavi) and due to the whole service atmosphere. We were a group of 17 people on a business dinner. The organizer had been to the restaurant before and highly recommended the restaurant. From the beginning I, and my colleagues, noted... More

I have already written about DaVinci before but my Osso Buco was so good that I had to let everyone know again. Everyone at the table was i awe of their dish. Rack of lamb, Gnocchi, Osso Buco, rizzoto etc... everything is so good there. It's a little pricy but once in a while, why not. Service was just Ok,... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
