Feels like home cooked meal, hosts super amicable. Prices are cheap and you can get full for as low as 10 dollars.

The prices and very low but the food is great. The Momo's are a delight. The lentil soup is very good to. The alcohol is not expensive at all! We went early on a week-day and got quality service from the owner. I liked that they really let us take out time and not rush to give us the bill.... More

The food is plentiful and inexpensive, but rather bland. There is much better Tibetan food elsewhere in Montreal.

We had both steamed and fried momo's after the lentil soup. Very delicious and the price was right. One of us had the large momo's with cheese that was fantastic even if a little sweet. For dessert the sweet rice was so good. Only thing that was strange was the butter tea - just not my cup. Overall great value... More

The food is excellent, especially the momos. The plates are very tasty, not too spicy and made with fresh ingredients. There is a nice outdoor garden where you can eat. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this place if you want to try real tibetan food!

This was a lovely place to have dinner. It was reasonably priced and the outdoor terrace is simple but peaceful. The waitstaff was very nice. We started the evening off with the traditional Tibetan Tea, which is a salty, buttery tea. I think it's an acquired taste... Then, we ordered the bleu cheese soup. It tasted like craft macaroni and... More

although there was one cook and one waiter, the experience we had was incredible. Sat on the outside patio, very relaxed, ok so it took awhile for our food but it was worth the wait. The host is very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food, which was exceptional. Wish we had one in Chicago.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
