Lots of wait staff, no staff team work: NOT MUCH SERVICE. Food was in a word- awful. BLT was dry and stale. CHICKEN caesar salad was a big fat zero. the meal was a total waste of time and money...WHEN YOU LEAVE A RESTAURANT HUNGRY, YOU KNOW YOU'VE BEEN TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS !!!

Booked reservation for 14 Sunday morning for that day. No problem. Everyone liked their food.service was top notch. Steaks and ribs were excellent. Music was not blasting like at some other places. Multiple big screens downstairs. Seems to accomodate large grouos. There were 3 when we were there.

Great evening with friends before a concert. I was disappointed to see an event menu however the food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. The bartenders did well, as we did not order your usual cocktails. Patrick our server was awesome--attentive, speedy and sociable. The music was a preview to the concert we were going to and we could... More

Decided to eat dinner here prior to a Canadiens game. Restaurant was reasonably full; however they were able to seat 13 of us in relatively quick order. We sat down and realized, to our disappointment, that they were operating on an event menu that was quite pared down from their ordinary menu. At least an event menu would ensure a... More

This is a popular place for dinner prior to hockey games at the Bell Centre. Before games, it is full of hockey fans and the wait to get in can be quite long. However the staff is efficient at getting folks served and out the door, thanks in part to a smaller events menu and a time limit imposed on... More

Old fashioned style is nice though not very inspiring. Service was kind, though a little slow. Some servers insisted to talk to us in French even after it was clear that we do not speak that language. Food was plentiful and good enough, though the few courses that were noteworthy were balanced out by others that fell slightly short of... More

The steak was good but the service wasn't the best. The restaurant could have used a bit of cleaning.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
