Really enjoyed our dinner at Burger Bar. Great service and food. Had the Mac n cheese, a burger, and some chicken wings. The wings were huggge, but unbreaded. We prefer breaded. Burger was on point. Mac n cheese was good, not the best I've ever had. Drinks were great, loveeeed the Amaretto Sour. I'll be attempting to replicate it soon.

We were visiting Montreal for the first time when we stumbled upon the Burger Bar. This is the absolute best service we have received (ever!!). Mark (Marque) was the best - he made us feel so welcome, knew the menu inside out, and had great suggestions! The food and drinks were unique and amazing - we ended up staying a... More

I strongly believe in tipping waiters & waitresses, but the waiter at this restaurant went back to my 17 year old son after he paid the bill and insisted that he include a tip. Rude! Embarrassing! Lacks professionalism! Tacky! My son was with a group of friends attending a university United Nations Conference in Montreal. They took turns covering the... More

my family visited this restaurant the previous year and really liked the food. Returning this year with new people to Montreal a reservation was made 2 days in advance to insure we were able to get to this location on our one day in Montreal. Upon arriving we were greeted with a sign that they were closed for renovation. Not... More

We are OPEN for business after a very short 8-day renovation which was well-publicized on Facebook, our website, mobile app, outgoing telephone message, signs on the doors and exterior menu. During this time Open Table was closed and no-one was working in the dining room to take reservations so I have no idea what reservation you are referring too, none... More

I am so glad that I search for restaurants on TripAdvisor because we probably wouldn't have found this place. We visit Montreal at least a couple times a year and Its the first time to Burger Bar but it won't be the last. The Burgers were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly along with the sides. I also wanted to give... More

We were visiting Montreal and prior to a concert we wanted to grab a bite. It was raining so hard we grabbed a cab and asked him to take us somewhere close by where there was lots of restaurant options. This was the first place we saw. Got in without a wait on a Saturday night (we were early) but... More

My mom and I went to the Maroon 5 concert last night and decided to have dinner here. The Québécois burger was to die for! The French onion soup was also delicious. The only thing I noticed was the service. Not so great. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves :) we will definitively be going back.

So we are in downtown Montreal, its February the snow is piled high, the pavements (sorry, you call these sidewalks) are treacherous with ice. We were wandering around looking for somewhere to have lunch a drink and most importantly get out the cold and snowfall when we stumbled upon Burger Bar Crescent. Quickly scanned the menu outside and made sure... More

The place was crowded and in a good location. When we first went in the music was loud and was rap music with every other word being a bad one. I think when young kids came in they may have them got some complaints because the music changed. My burger was average. Devons chicken nachos were just above average. Probably... More

Like you, I don't always appreciate some of the language sung in some songs. I guess its a good thing that once the staff noticed the music was "Going south" they changed it to something more appropriate. Thanks for visiting us and reviewing our restaurant which always tires to accommodate our guests needs in a pleasant and enjoyable manner. More

This burger bar was alright. I wouldn't go out if my way to go there if I were you. The burger was good, the poutine I got however was seriously lacking any kind of flavour. The server was super rude. I paid with credit and didn't add a tip because I was going to pay a cash tip as I... More

Hi Stevakim, I'm sorry one of our servers spoiled your visit. I agree with your assessment that you'er server was rude and I apologize on the restaurants behalf. For the most part our service is usually very well-regarded and often the topic of great reviews. "Serving" is a demanding job that requires both patience and great communications skills; something that... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
