We were here for a quick lunch. We had the traditional falafel pita and the salad with falafel balls. Both were amazing and the ingredients were very fresh. Service was efficient and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere is eclectic and has a great feel. We would return here and sample other menu items which all sounded wonderful.

Had the traditional falafel (great!) and the daily yellow curry special (very good). Although, the curry was a little bland, it tasted like good homemade food. The salad that I ordered with the curry was delicious. Helpful service, very clean restaurant, reasonable price. We will return.

This stop was part of our Local Montreal Food Tour of the Mile End. La panthère verte has been voted the home of the best Falafel in Montréal and we totally get it. They have a special recipe for the Falafel that takes them apart of the rest. La panthère verte is also sustainable and even have compost bins in... More

We started our food tour here and I am so grateful we did because we went back. We had these falafel sandwiches with hand made bread and they were incredible. All of the interior decorations were this eclectic group of recycled items. The whole feel for the place was really cute I'm really glad we experienced this.

We went there as part of a food tour and it was very good. I was really impressed by how green they were and how they have absolutely no garbage. They compost and their vegetables and supplies are brought in by bicycles and no carbon to the atmosphere

Went here as part of a food tour, and the falafel was amazing. So glad we were able to taste the delicious food here, as a tourist we would not have found it on our own.

It is so easy to keep to a vegetarian or vegan diet in Montreal. I visited two Panthere Vertes restaurants. The first was for dinner at the one on Rue St-Denis which offered a menu of cocktails and organic wines. The food was ok, not spectacular. The second visit was to the one on St-Viateur, late morning. This one is... More

I went to the Green Panther a few years ago and it was terrible. I went to the Green Panther today downtown and had the best experience. The food was amazing and the staff even brought my sandwich out to me while I was waiting beside my car so that I didn't get a ticket. Thank you Green Panther. Your... More

Very nice falafel that we had on a food tour- would happily eat there again. Interesting space with lots of reclaimed wood, and a focus on healthy/fast/reasonably priced food.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
