Went in for a Saturday morning breakfast. At first found the place a tad busy, lots of staff buzzing about, bright lights, loud patrons. But the very friendly, extremely attentive hostess and wait staff made the whole thing feel much more cozy than it looks. Breakfast was delicious. Freshly squeezed fruit juices, lots of quick refills on bottomless cup of... More

Waitress was rude and service was slow. Backs were turned on customers while employees (or employer) watched hockey on TV. The place was practically empty and yet one had to ask for service, for water, for the bill and to pay, then be called rude for saying service was slow.

Perfect spot for a little hangover brunch. Be prepared to wait in line for around 30 minutes on a Saturday morning. Service was awesome, food was tasty, and they were able to accommodate a large group (7 of us) easily.

By far the best place for breakfast, especially late breakfast and brunch, in the entire city (and I've been to all the runner up's, which are damn good too). If you have to choose only one item, GO FOR THE FRENCH TOAST, or Pain Dore as they call it in French Canada. It is heavenly ! Everything is good; service... More

I've passed by this restaurant many times looking for some place to eat breakfast was never tempted seeing it often empty until they hotel concierge recommended it so I decided to give it a try! Was really impressed! Friendly service, several menu choices and reasonable price! The only thing was disappointing was that they didn't have decaf; they would had... More

If you always wanted a section of your menu to include eight or nine types of Eggs Benedict then this is your restaurant. Located next door to the Marriott Residence Inn. Most choices do not include meat. This is a grill restaurant but it serves breakfast all day! Due to my vegetarianism, I cannot evaluate the grill. The staff is... More

This restaurant was referred to us by hotel staff. I could not say enough about. Food was excellent, service was top notch. Needless to say we went here twice.

Arrived 12:30pm short wait for a table, got one at the window looking on the St. Large menu, decided on the regular burger. You do get a lot of food here, soup and coleslaw were included. The soup was an onion soup with small shrimps in it. Although tasty, it was not even luke warm. Bread was served with butter,... More

I've been there twice for brunch, it's hectic! The service is good, the food is good, you can find an option for everyone in your group. Last time, I had a pizza, which takes a little longer, but it was worth it. I also like that they have a variety of breads for the sandwiches, and the option of sweet... More

We were a group of 4 for lunch. The place was packed and rushed. The servers want you to order quickly so they keep things rolling. I had salmon with the house salad. Person #2 had grilled octopus. Person #3 had a vegetarian pizza. And person #4 had marinated mussels and home fries. Quite a variety!!!!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
