We are US visitors from Vermont in Montreal for a day trip. We parked in Montreal's Chinatown, looking for a quick bite before heading out on foot. We decided to dine at Mai Xiang dumpling restaurant. The menu was a bit confusing - choose between...More

This place in Chinatown offered a good selection of dumplings. Our favorite was beef and celery. Vegetarian options were available. Create dipping sauce using your own mix of soy sauce, vinegar, and pepper sauce. We ordered five servings for four people, and that was about...More

Okay my husband is a dumpling guy but I'm not crazy for them - until now. We had the steamed with chicken and cilantro and the fried with ground beef and onion. Both were fantastic. There is no doubt we will come back next time...More

I went with friends to this tiny dumpling joint for the second time, and it was as delicious as the first! Flavors on point, fluffiness of the boiled ones, crispy pan fried ones are soooo good. However; the hostess didn't look to give a damn...More

My friend and I got some buns and tea, great for an afternoon snack as we explored the area. The place was quiet with a great atmosphere. Good service. I'll go back!

Really good dumplings - both steamed and fried - in this small, crowded restaurant in Chinatown. We were encouraged by the crowds - knew we must be in a good place. Nothing fancy, just an excellent spot to enjoy a few plates of really good...More

Food was great. Not really a full-service sit down meal type of place despite having table service--pretty much the only thing they serve is dumplings so it's best as a lunch spot. Very crowded but good eats.

No surprise for the dumplings. Place is too small to sit comfortably. I prefer another dumpling restaurant than this one.

Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the
brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's
aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine.
Distinguished at its entry points by towering
vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood
acts as a focal point for the Chinese community,
hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres,
acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers.
