Burgers are simple and really delicious, tasty and moist. Food tasted fresh and the pricing is very good. There's also a decent selection of alcohol. The service was quick and efficient. It's a relatively small restaurant so get there early evening to get a sit. Bon appetit!

Good music, busy and exciting feel. The eggs Benedict with spinach was great, a lot of food! The service was good, even though the restaurant was very busy. I'd like to see it in the summer with the patio open!

Guys, go to Les Folies--it's great. Want breakfast? They have it. Lunch? You betcha. Dinner? Hellz yeah. Coffee? Oui, oui. In the summer, the terrace is great for just hanging out or working. The servers are always super nice, the food is consistently great, & you learn a great deal about moose calling when going to the bathroom.

Chose Les Folies at random as we were staying along Mont Royal. As early eaters we had our pick of tables. Our drinks arrived quickly, my Red Passion was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his 'black beer' (stout). Our burgers (Mexican & Bison) were delicious, well cooked and came with a mountain of salad and fries. I would happily have... More

It was a busy day with the annual sidewalk sale festival on. I was famished and ordered the Cali burger..........absolutely delicious! My only complaint was that with their music competing with the street DJ and the live stage, it was difficult to hear my conversation.

We strolled past this place and decided to go in and give it a try. There was loads of people there so assumed it was quite a popular place. The staff were friendly and warm and our food came quickly. Was a nice meal and good experience.

This little corner cafe is a hidden gem of Mont Royale. My boyfriend and myself tried to get into L'Avenue down the street for Sunday morning breakfast. Unfortunately we were welcomed by a massive line up. So we ended up here instead... And they absolutely exceeded our expectations. I had the Les Folies special. Which included toast, home fries, scrambled... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
