Following the suggestion of friends, my first evening meal in Montreal was at Le Saloon. The staff was friendly and the food great. Our party of 5 sat indoors, and we enjoyed the inter-play between servers and guests. That night two bridal parties helped add...More

It's not for nothing but this place has been around for 25 years. Located in the gay village , It is one of our staple places to go for brunch on their street front patio, and is a great place to hear some funky music...More

Nice big plates, great food and service. From burgers to fish and frittes, salads and dumpling. Great mood and nice terrace.

I went twice, for dinner and lunch, They have these great menus for lunch, in sections by price ($12, $14 and $16). Also, a good selection of cocktails and beers on tap.

This to me was a higher end pub. The food was good and the service was great. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Very nice.

Went here to eat with some friends and really enjoyed it. The staff was so friendly and really helpful when I couldn't decide what to eat! Everyone enjoyed their food - I had the veggie burger and it was good. Two people had the fish...More

This trip I was "weight conscious" and somewhat nervous about visiting Le Saloon. The food and drink here is always wonderful but many, if not most, of the items are calorie laden (and worth every calorie I might add!) I had a roasted vegetable sandwich...More

We ate dinner here, on a Friday night. Ste. Catherine Street was recently closed for the summer, and the street has a block party type atmosphere. Most of the bars and restaurants have expanded outdoor seating. The service could not have been friendlier or more...More

Super hip and happening modern venue - with a solid menu of pleasing QC fusion with American (and several countries) bistro cuisine - inspired cocktails, and selection of wines. Staff were enthusiastic and engaging for visitors to Montreal (in my case English speaking). Super fun...More

The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd
the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs
for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an
open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished
buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special
homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and
cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst
Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
