Started ordering here during Covid-19 to support local businesses. Amazing food, great portions - chicken parm was huge!! and delicious. Friendly people. Have only experienced them as a curbside pickup, but have been impressed.
One of my favourite places to have a delicious meal, great service and quiet atmosphere to enjoy a conversation and good time with friends.
I have been here many times and the food is always excellent; the owner takes great care of the clients and...he is very accommodating to requests.
I truly recommend. Good Italian food at a very reasonable price without compromising service, cleanliness or ambiance.More
I have been to La Traviata numerous times. Why do I keep going back? The service and food are excellent!!! The restaurant is also very clean and the staff are very hospitable. The portions of the entrees are very generous as well. Their pastas are...tasty and appetizing. Some of those in my party always opt for a pizza selection. One of my personal favourites is the shrimp arrabiata. Their chicken cacciatore is also great. Those are two of my absolute favourites. You may also wish to try their bruschetta as it always carefully made and every piece will tantalize your palate. The restaurant is in a great location on Wilson Avenue. If you can't find parking out front there is parking in the neighbouring side streets. Also the lavatories are impeccably kept. The host, the owner, and the wait staff are always very friendly and amiable. La Traviata is one of Toronto's hidden secrets. I would highly recommend it!More
Still good food at reasonable prices.
Service is good but sometimes a little understaffed which is a perennial problem for smaller restaurants.
Chicken cacciatore is great as is the veal with mushrooms. Can be a bit stingy with the mushrooms.
Try the Lasagna - very good...as are the meatballs on pasta or on their own.
Could be a bit more kid friendly!
We keep coming back. Like the place and the owner, Lanny.
Keep it up!More
We often share mussels---delicious either way--and basically order the same mains.
My husband loves the fish dishes and I adore the lasagna and chicken parmesan.I should try other dishes --as everything is yummy--but I don't even look at the menu.
At xmas season the lobster...pasta is fabulous.
The staff are attentive and make for a nice experience.More
Three of us came for lunch. Nobody was really impressed. I had Veal Piccata which was quite a small portion, it should have been more. As far as taste, it was OK, but I would not order it again.
There are many better Italian restaurants...than this.More
Tonight, dinner at La Traviata. There were eight of us, I have never eaten finer Italian food anywhere! The price was reasonable, the portions huge, the taste magnificent.
I would not hesitate to go there again for dinner either with couples, or with a group...of ladies for a lunch roundtable. Not a fussy place necessarily but definitely good homestyle Italian cookin’!
Eggplant Parmesan - best anywhere!!!
I’ve been to this place several times and have never been let down. The food is always great and the service is also. I always get gnocchi with different sauces and tasters amazing the pizza, salad, garlic bread, and several other things are amazing as...well.More
