Their Fish curry is great. The fish is wild caught and not farmed like most Indian restaurants. Love their eggplant.

I was introduced to this restaurant by my friend whose parents come from Kerala, and I have become a huge fan of Maroli which is a great example of South Indian cuisine. I find it is both amazingly delicious and feels lighter, not as oily as the North Indian type. I just love it! My favorite is fish curry and... More

We were really excited about the restaurant as it is from the south of India and not one of the run of the mill type Indian restaurant. I must say that most of the food was quite authentic. The fried fish we ordered which was the most expensive dish on the menu was kind of rubbery which is a sigh... More

My order relates to a dish i got through Uber Eats. I got the butter chicken with rice and naan and it was just fabulous. Some of the best butter chicken i've had in Toronto. The naan was quite flat and undercooked for my liking but it was still a solid meal. Will definitely pop in to try their other... More

What was otherwise a perfect day out for my family was ruined by a ridiculous dinner in Maroli. I had previously visited this place in 2012 and found the food delicious. So, decided to bring a friend along, after a tiring day in downtown. Walked a few blocks and our appetite was well built :-)... ordered appam n chciken curry... More

The restaurant is intimate and both the owner and staff a delight. The flavours and tastes are out of this world! This is not your average Indian restaurant fare but so much more. We visit every time we're in Toronto. It's a must!

Food is quite tasty, the mix of spices and coconut is a nice change in curries. However, value for money is poor. Meat and fish dishes are laden with onions and spices and very little meat or fish. Dishes are very expensive for what you're getting. Service is average, although we went went there was no one there!

Tried the Malabari Syrian Beef and Mutton Stew. The beef was really delicious but very lttle meat. Mutton had only bones. However, if this restaurant wants repeat customers they should not charge so much for so little in terms of quantity. Rice was $3 for a small bowl ! Chinese restr do not charge this much for rice! One gets... More

This place is terrible. I have lived in Kerala and I can assure you that the food is not authentic. Worse still, I had a stomach upset after eating here. The worst place I tried in Toronto. I went there reading all the positive reviews here but I felt let down. I suspect some of the dishes were microwaved frozen... More

Low key and inexpensive, we had a nice meal post-movie at Hot Docs. Don't miss the butter chicken, it met its billing as the best in Toronto.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
