I met a friend for dinner and Katsura was a convenient location for both of us to meet and have some Japanese food. We ordered some saki to drink and started off with some sushi. The food came quickly and tasted great. For my main course I had salmon teriyaki. It was a generous portion served with rice and vegetables.... More

This is an excellent sushi restaurant. Friendly, professional service, fresh food, well prepared and presented. We love sea urchin and often have a hard time finding uni at sushi restaurants. Not here. Uni was fabulous and so were our other dishes, mostly a combination of sushi, sashimi and maki. The restaurant is nicely decorated and not too crowded on a... More

I have been here quite a few times over the years and from the first great experience it has continued. Seeing the food you have chosen being cooked in front of you and smelling the goodness is one of the things that makes the experience and taste, great. It is a place for intimate dinners and special family celebrations. I... More

Went here for there teppanyaki dinning experience. This was very good but that I did not like the food as much. The restaurant was empty by the time we go there which was about 8:30-9 pm after the crowd was gone according to our server. The service was great.

Had dinner here in June/16 and again in August /16 at the teppanyaki table - had the AOI meal both times - salad , soup, entre and dessert . Both times the meal was exceptional . Service was perfect - there when you needed them but otherwise out of sight . For the price of $78 for the meal plus... More

This is a beautiful hotel - the only challenge is that it's not great for transit users. The staff are fantastic and helpful and wanting to help if you need anything. Catering is amaxing!

From the last good experience for the Teppan-yaki in Katsura, we decided to try their Shabu Shabu (Hot Pot) for dinner. The best hot pot is a perfect balance of fresh ingredients, delicious soups, and delectable dipping sauces. But it was so disappointed. The broth for the Shabu Shabu was so bland, we have two dipping sauces, one was soya... More
