I keep coming back to this place all the time! Fantastic freshly-baked turkish pizza, especially the spinach/feta-cheese one. Delicious! The owners (Volcan and Fadique), brother and sister, are a very very nice family, that make me and my family/friends always feel so welcome. Don't let the aged decor/lack of ambiance, fool you. The food and service are definitely worth it!!

I love their pizzas!!! My favourite is the one with lamb, delish!!! I usually order take out because the place is very small and they have a few tables( usually full). The pizzas look small but they fill you up fast. If you are in the area, You definitely have to try try those pizzas!!!

Not much of a restaurant - clean, small with a hot oven across the street from McD's and Food Basics. But lamajunes are typically pita with some ground meat and seasonings that you take from a bakery, such as Arz on Lawrence. This place is something else. They make a fresh dough and use a hot oven with excellent topping.... More

This Moroccan pide is fantastic! The pita is fresh made, thin, and tasty! The spinach goat cheese is so good as well as the tomato/sausage, this is a must to try and it will quickly become your favourite pide!

Pizza pride is a neighborhood restaurant. They gave a twist on Italian style pizzas. theirs are the Turkish kind, and they come with beef, ground beef, Turkish sausage (sucuk), a kind of Turkish cured beef (pastirma), and the vegetarian versions with spinach and feta. We sample a few and were quite satisfied with the pides ( a pride being sort... More

Was introduced to this spot by a dear family friend. Loved it. Unpretentious and flavourful. A light canoe shaped pie. Pierre Trudeau said part of being Canadian was being able to make love in a canoe. Pizza Pide makes love in a canoe. Can't wait to go back! Try the spinach feta!!

Even though the restaurant is located in a sketchy Toronto neighbourhood, the food is amazing. The pide at this restaurant is very authentic and quite close to the traditional Turkish specialty. The restaurant is owned by a kind Turkish family and we are always greeted with smiles when we enter. We always get the mozzarella variation, which I admit is... More

Desperate for lunch on Canada Day, we leapt at the chance to try authentic Turkish pide at this east side neighborhood hole in the wall. Forget about atmosphere; you're here for the food! We have tried several places that advertised pide, and this comes the closest to what we experienced in Turkey several years ago. But, as the friendly owner... More

Pide piper picked a pide place, and this is it, better than the one on the Danforth. Nice fresh toppings, crispy thin crust nicely brushed with olive oil and good portions at a reasonable price. Not much for atmosphere but it's basically a Turkish pizza joint. Worth checking out. Adios amigos!

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
