Our company hosted a business dinner here for the 2nd year in a row. Their service is what sets them apart. They could not improve on the service that they provide and treat us very, very well. The decor is very nice, decorated for Christmas. The food was very good, although last year we had more choices in terms of... More

This place is amazing. Carlo, who looked after us, has been in the area for over 20 years. I have arthritis and cannot manipulate some dishes. I had a craving for lamb. It was a special last night! Not all restaurants with take it off the bone for you. I cannot manipulate meat dishes when my hands are having a... More

Can't say I've ever felt more welcome in a restaurant. It seems if an entire extended family are there to serve you. My wife and I utilized a Groupon on Saturday night and could not have been more pleased with our meals. I started with a very interesting and tasty corn chowder, my wife, a to die for Caesar's salad.... More

Groupon deal. 1st thing had to use ladie's room & it really needs renovating. It would be nice if the 2 men serving you would have introduced themselves by name. Could have had our water refilled w/o asking for it. The home made bread, Rigatoni Mirto, & strip loin are good, but a bit salty. The parmesan cheese & supposed... More

ok, I haven't gone but just doing the reservation was stressful. the guy answered the phone yelling "Mitro!"... no good afternoon, no nothing... he was on a rush or having a bad day, never heard please, thank you or a kind tone of voice, it was like a machine answering my questions... an angry machine... not sure if I'm going... Good food, quick service and friendly staff. After a long day at Niagara Falls, this was the perfect finish to the day. The caprese salad, cheese pizza and the home made tiramisu - perfect. We will go back.

One of the owners hails from Sardinia where the popular liqueur Mirto is made by infusing myrtle berries with alcohol and honey. Maybe this restaurant was named after the drink? We had the benefit of a coupon which provided a 4 course meal for $ 65. Terry our server provided excellent service - helpful, cheerful, attentive and yet peripheral... The... More

We had the 4 course Groupon deal and we were extremely impressed. Great food and lots of it, great service and a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. lots of extra touches that make this place authentic and at a level above the rest. I love it when the... More

The staff, particularly Carlo and Domenic made us extremely welcome. Food was really good but what made the extra difference was the really helpful and courteous manner in which we were treated. Carlo and Domenic were so attentive to my family, including my 5 year old son. They assisted us with attending a Blue Jays ball game which was a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
