Adega is one of my favourite restaurants. We were a group of 6 people and our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. We ordered the mussel appetizer which was fabulous as well as the mixed appetizer plate, both plates were beautifully presented. For the mains...More

There is an excellent wine list, reasonably priced for the quality, concentrating on Portuguese wines. There is also an excellent selection of reasonably priced ports. The restaurant's specialty is Portuguese and/or seafood, but there is a wide enough selection that anybody can find something suitable....More

Atmosphere was friendly and the service good. The food was authentically Portuguese. I can recommend the fish stew, the sardines and the salmon but my friends tell me that the meat dishes were also good.

Half a block from bustling Yonge St; the tasteful, quiet dinning room is a prelude to a near perfect experience. All elements of the service was exceptional. I had the Portuguese version of bouillabaisse, that would match the standards of Marseilles for fish variety, and...More

I had the sardine appetizer to go, and enjoyed the calm and comfortable ambience while I waited. The staff were very helpful and professional. The sardines were simply fantastic. Large and grilled to perfection with cooked red peppers and lovely homemade cornbread as a side,...More

We made reservations 2 and a half weeks earlier for this place because we wanted to experience winterlicious for the first time, and we liked the reviews. We made an early reservation, at 5:30 because we were seeing an afternoon show nearby. We got there...More

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip

flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to

Hello, My boyfriend is very difficult to impress when it comes to restaurants, and so I have spent maybe 30 min reading over all the possible reviews I could find on-line for this place. I am personally sold, and I want to surprise my boyfriend by taking him here for our up coming anniversary. Really what I want is to blow his socks off with my ability to find a spectacular place (within the city) that we haven't even discussed going to before. My long winded question I am getting to is; our anniversary is on a Monday, and I have heard once or twice before that it isn't wise to get seafood on a Sunday or Monday because it may not be the freshest. Is this true? and if so is it better to go on another night or just suck it up?
