This is our special occasion restaurant which never disappoints. We prefer the pasta bar as it's more casual but the food comes from the same kitchen. If you're near a window the panorama over the city is spectacular. It feels like you're far away from the city but its really very close to the Yorkville area. Whether you're a visitor... More

Scaramouche has been around forever and what's amazing is that it maintains its solid rating. It's a fancy place with prices to match. The food here is always solid but conservative. You have your lamb rack, duck breast, steak, fish, pasta - basically something for everyone. The dining room is great especially if you manage to score a table by... More

This rest is truly a home away from home, we're from Toronto, and at least twice a year we go the time to go to Kirkland pq. On business, and Must make the 20 minute drive over, without a dinner at Scaramouche it gives us the dread feeling of an incomplete trip. The menu is full and authentic, and if... More

We always love Scaramouche. Food is great. Service excellent and has great city view. We watched the city skyline changed through the years. A great place for dinner, special occasions, and reunions. Must make reservations. Has valet parking.

Went for desert and it was fabulous. At the time their signature desert was strawberry shortcake, although we also had some other deserts and some drinks. My visit was before 2016, but I am sure that this long standing restaurant will still be great.

It has a nice ambience. Pricey but delicious food. Even the pasta is a step up from anywhere else. Great wines. Unusual location. Make a reservation early. Great for dating by the way. Perfect place to make an impression. Enjoy!

Scaramouche is the kind of elegant restaurant one goes to celebrate a special occasion. The food is excellent, the menu is sophisticated, the presentation is creative, and the service is impeccable. Needless to say, it is not cheap. If you want to sit by the windows facing the downtown Toronto skyline make sure you book well ahead of time and... More

Description
Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
