I have not been to this restaurant/bar in over 20 years - since it was the Jolly Miller - but when my friend suggested as a place to meet for dinner last Saturday night, I thought why not? Well, all four of us who went for dinner were extremely happy with her choice! We sat downstairs in the "casual" bar... More

I went downstairs here with a friend for the first time in many, many years since the obvious significant revamp. I'm not sure if it was a pub, an attempt at a gastropub or an attempt at a mid-range restaurant but I wasn't impressed. Food was okay - I had a $20 lamb burger with fries - but not good... More

This is a local pub with a loud bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. The menu is dominated by steaks of various kinds. The fillet I ordered was great. Properly cooked and flavourful. My wife had fish she was happy with it. There wax a promotion which added a small lobster tail for a dollar. A good deal. Service was... More

The food sometimes are good, sometimes average. The service is not customer friendly.Tthe hostess who does the sitting does not understand that Sshe is there for the guest and not the guest for her.It happened twice we went through the terrace anf the hostess was upstairs andordered us to go downstairs and ask for a sitting there, even though the terrace was... We had a wonderful time. Our meals were cooked as asked. My rare filet mignon was rare, and everyone in our group who had said steak were happy with them. Our server was excellent. Recommended an excellent wine. The management seem to care about how their patrons feel about the food and service. This was my second visit in 6... More

I remember when the Miller was a cheap, loud hangout for the young people. I love that it was reinvented!! Interior is beautiful! The downstairs is still a bit raucous near the bar. Adequate seating for meals for everyone We are usually appi's and drinks but I have eaten a few delicious meals over the past few years. Our last... More

Nothing like a heritage house serving above average surf and turf. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was professional, good wine list (smoking loon cab), and great cocktails (beezneez). We enjoyed the carpaccio to start which was very good. My lobster tail was big, nicely seasoned, but a tad tough. The steak (Sinatra special) was cooked to perfection and melted in my... More

I used to frequent this restaurant two or three times each summer, even though the food is overpriced. It was the patio that attracted me. But something changed, which I will tell you about. I am Caucasian and my girlfriend is Filipino. About five years ago, I brought her son and a few of his friends here for dinner to... More

I was skeptical at first when I read the not-so-good reviews, but unfortunately some of my fellow workers are right -- ok food at best, but mediocre service for what's supposed to be a country club-esque establishment. Location was chosen by our customer as close to their offices. I hadn't been to this place since was originally called "Jolly Miller"... More

Pleasant place. Parking is good as it has its own car park. Service was excellent but it wasn't busy as we arrived after 2.00. Waitress was cheery and friendly. The menu isn't particularly sophisticated, bar type food, satay sticks were cold but the rest of the Combo was fine. Bloody Caesars were good and worth a second order although as... More
